1. Romanceopoly Readathon: April 8 – 14

I’ve pretty much given up on my Romanceopoly challenge… I’ve just fallen so far behind. But this week they’re hosting a readathon to help everyone catch up on their challenges! This year long challenge/readathon is hosted by the ladies from Under the Covers and Jess from Peace Love Books. Check out the Romanceopoly website for all the info!!

New Releases

There are some really good books coming out this week!! Here are some of the ones I’m excited for!

1. Eleanor & Grey by Brittainy C. Cherry – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is releasing today!! I just finished this, this past weekend and it is an absolutely beautiful story. This follows Greyson and Eleanor when they first meet as teenagers and again 15 years later. It is an amazing second chance romance that had me in bawling my eyes out multiple times. If you’re looking for a heartfelt romance, please pick this one up!

2. Girls on the Verge by Sharon Briggs Waller

I heard about this book from Chelsea Dolling Reads channel, and I’ve been hyped for it since! This is a YA, contemporary following a group of young women in Texas who are traveling across the country to the nearest women’s clinic. It’s an empowering story about a woman’s right to chose.

3. Crazy for Your Love (The Boys of Jackson Harbor #5 by Lexi Ryan

I read the first book in this series a couple months back and fell in love with these characters! I still have a lot of books left until I get to this one, but I’m excited to binge them all asap! This series is an adult romance following the Jackson family in Jackson Harbor, Michigan.

4. My Life in Shambles by Karina Halle

Can we take a moment to talk about how flipping gorgeous this cover is! This is an adult romance following Valerie after a series of bad events. She’s made a vow to say yes to new adventures and ends up meeting a gorgeous, broody rugby player. It also seems like this has the fake dating troupe – which I love!!

5. Meet Cute by Helena Hunting

This is a second chance romance following the most embarrassing meet cute. This sounds super adorable, and I’ve heard great things about this author!

Reading Update + TBR!

Recently Finished

1. Vicious (Sinners of Saint #1) by L.J. Shen ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is an adult romance following Vicious and Emilia 10 years after he chased her out of town. Now she is forced to work for him and help him exact his revenge. This is the epitome of possessive bad boy romance. And I loved it. My full review will be posted here on Saturday! For you now, you can check out my thoughts on Goodreads!

2. Eleanor & Grey by Brittainy C. Cherry ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I was lucky enough to get a review copy of this through Social Butterfly! This book broke me. I seriously cried my eyes out multiple times reading this book. This is the second chance romance for Greyson and Eleanor, 15 years after their teenage romance. If you’re looking for a touching, hard hitting romance, pick this one up!

Currently Reading/What’s Next

In April I’m testing out a new TBR approach – I’m setting weekly TBR’s rat

1. When the Moon Was Ours by Anna-Marie McLemore

This is the April read for the Dragons and Tea Book Club hosted by the amazing MelToTheAny and A Court of Crowns and Quills. This a YA magical realism about a young girl who appears out of a water tower. Magical realism isn’t usually my genre, but I really liked Blanca & Roja by McLemore so I’m excited to read this.

2. The Foxe & the Hound by R.S. Grey

I started this on audiobook yesterday and it’s already the cheesy, rom com of my dreams. This book is a goofy, sweet enemies to lovers romance following a woman with a large puppy she can’t handle and the man that dog tramples – who also turns out to be the new guy in town… and her vet.

3. The Murder on the Links (Hercule Poirot #2) by Agatha Christie

This is my next read for the Magical Readathon and covers the History of Magic prompt – a book published over 10 yeas ago. I’m excited to finally continue on with the Hercule Poirot series.

4. Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston

I have an e-arc of this from Netgalley and desperately want to get to it this week! This is being released on May 14th and I’ve heard AMAZING things about this book. This is a new adult romance between the presidents son and the prince of Wales. I’m so damn hyped for this book!

What are your reading plans for the week? Are you picking up any new releases?
