New Releases

This is probably my most anticipate release week of the year so far. I’m beyond excited to read ALL of these!

1. The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren

This is an adult, enemies to lovers romance about a Maid of Honor and Best Man who hate each other. But when the newlyweds get food poisoning right before their honeymoon, they MoH and BM go on the trip for them. This premise sounds really good and I’ve heard nothing but good things about this book.

2. Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston

Okay I’m sure by now everyone knows about my undying love for this book. But it’s finally out in the wild today!! This is a M/M romance between the First Son and the Prince of Wales. This book discusses politics, sexuality, family roles, and everything in between. It is soft and sweet and everything I’ve ever wanted. Check it out.

3. I Wish You All the Best by Mason Deaver

This follows Ben after they come out as nonbinary and are forced to move in with their estranged sister. Now Ben is just trying to make it through the rest of senior year. But Ben meets Nathan and their relationship quick grows. This sounds like another soft, LGBTQ+ romance I need in my life.

4. We Contain Multitudes by Sarah Henstra

Another LGBTQ+ romance! I know what I’m about guys 😅 I tried so hard to get an arc of this but it just didn’t happen. So I’m excited to finally read this! This follows Johnathon and Adam who are paired up in English as pen pals. Through the letters they develop a relationship that grows into love.

Reading Update + TBR!

Recently Finished

1. Inspection by Josh Malerman

I’m This is a speculative fiction novel about a group of boys – the Alphabet Boys – who attend an isolated boarding school. They have never seen or heard of the opposite gender. Not far from them, a twin boarding school exists, housing the Alphabet Girls. Neither group of children knows the other exists.

Goodreads labels this as horror but I feel like that is misleading. This book is strange and creepy in the sense that this situation is ethically grey. But it is not scary.

2. Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson

I’m still reading this, but I NEED to finish it today so I can get my review posted tomorrow!

3. The Beau & the Belle by R.S. Grey ⭐️⭐️

Unfortunately did not like this. R.S Grey writes fun, rom-coms but this one was a huge miss. This follows Lauren and Beau who meet when Lauren in 17 and Beau is 24. After 10 years they come back together and immediately reconnect. But I didn’t like the possessiveness, borderline cheating, and controlling behavior.

Currently Reading/What’s Next

2. Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston (Physical/ReRead)

3. After I Do by Taylor Jenkins Reid (Audiobook/Hoopla)
