Favorite Books of 2019!!

It’s finally time for my absolute favorite reads of 2019!!

RWRB

I won’t lie guys.. this was a subpar reading year. I had plenty of 4+ star reads but there just weren’t a ton of new all time favorites 😭 This was actually the most difficult of the 4 end of the year lists to write.

All of these were absolutely wonderful however and I highly, highly recommend them.

Again – these are ranked from “least” to my absolute favorite read of 2019 ❤️

10. The Score (Off-Campus #3) by Elle Kennedy ⭐⭐⭐⭐.5

TheScore

This is the third book in the Off-Campus series and it was my favorite! I absolutely love Dean and Allie and I swooned my way through this entire book.

9. Eleanor & Grey by Brittainy C. Cherry ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

EleanorGrey

This was my first ever Brittainy C. Cherry book and I was immediately hooked. This story was so heart-wrenching and wonderful. This is an adult romance about childhood friends who get a second chance at love as adults. I cried my eyes out through about 80% of this.

8. The Wrong Kind of Love (The Boys of Jackson Harbor #1) by Lexi Ryan ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

WrongKindOfLove

I absolutely fell in love with Lexi Ryan’s romances in this book. And she is one of my new favorite authors! This was a really steamy, romance between a jilted almost bride and a single father. I love me a good nanny/single parent romance and this one was fantastic. Completing this series is on my priority list for 2020!

7. A Pizza My Heart (Slice #1) by Teagan Hunter ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

3cccd-apizzamyheart_hr

Teagan Hunter is an all-time favorite author of mine! She writes absolutely hilarious and steamy rom-coms that I can’t help but love. And this was no exception. This is the first book in a new series about a family owned pizza restaurant. It’s a friends to lovers romance that was actually inspired by one of the author’s real life friends. Also, I LOVE Foster.

6. Let’s Get Textual (Text #1) by Teagan Hunter ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Textual

This was the book that introduced me to Teagan Hunter and I was 100% hooked. This book had me laughing out loud at work (much to the annoyance of my office mate) and blushing in the next moment. And Zach is my true love.

5. Fix Her Up (Hot and Hammered #1) by Tessa Bailey ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

FixHerUp

This is definitely a polarizing opinion. I loved this steamy brothers best friend romance! The dialogue and nicknames were definitely over the top, but I just didn’t care. I loved Georgie and this story just stuck with me for a long time after finishing this.

4. Sawkill Girls by Claire Legrand ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

SawkillGirls

This book took be my total surprise! I’d heard amazing things about the author but this book was pretty outside my comfort zone. But holy cow did this blow me away. This is a YA, horror/fantasy following 3 teenage girls, a sentient island, and evil demon killing teenage girls. I loved absolutely everything about this and it is for sure and new all time favorite.

3. Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

UglyLove

Colleen Hoover is hands down another all time favorite author of mine. This is another polarizing book but I was am obsessed. This is an enemies to lovers, brother best friend romance. Which is an unbeatable combination in my opinion.

2. The Ten Thousand Doors of January by Alix E. Harrow ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

TenThousandDoorsOfJanuary

This book was everything. I always describe this as a love letter to readers, and I stand by that statement. This is a low fantasy following a young girl whose father is missing. She finds a book that tells the story of magical doors that lead to magical worlds. This is a book that takes its time. It slowly unravels one of the most magical worlds I’ve ever read with the most beautiful prose and writing.

1. Red, White and Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

RedWhiteRoyalBlue

Whose surprised?? I’ve been raving about this book for months. I read this back April and it’s held this spot ever since. This is a new adult, M/M romance between the son of the first female president and the Prince of Wales. It’s a soft, enemies to lovers romance that had me swooning for the very first page. I want to read anything and everything the author releases in the future. One of the best debuts I’ve ever read.

What was your favorite book of 2019??

  1. I agree that a lot of books I was looking forward to this year were a bit of a let-down. I think my favorite that I read was Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng, but that didn’t come out this year
