I recently wrote out all the open series I have… it was not good.
I have way, way too many open series. So I decided that one of my 2020 goals would be to write out all my open series, and decide which ones I want to continue with and which I want to part ways with. Here are some of the series I’m going to prioritize reading this year! Some of them I hope to finish and some I just want to continue with (because they are insanely, intimidatingly, long).
1. Guild Hunter series by Nalini Singh
This series is my latest obsession and I want to get as far as possible this year! There are currently 12 books in this series (not including the novellas…) and it would be amazing to catch up completely if possible. Especially since I’ve heard rumors that book 13 may be coming later this year…
2. Veronica Speedwell series by Deanna Raybourn
The second book in this series has been on an embarrassing number of TBRs… In 2020 the 5th book is being released so I’m determined to finally catch up!
3. Mistborn trilogy by Brandon Sanderson
This is another embarrassing one. I read The Final Empire in November of 2018 and said I was continuing on immediately… in 2020 it’s finally happening. Hopefully I’m not a damn liar again.
4. Stalking Jack the Ripper series by Kerri Maniscalco
I fell in love with this series in 2019 and definitely want to finish it right away! I wanted to continue on back in October but the end of the year really got away from me. Since the final 2 books are released, I’ll definitely be wrapping this one up soon.
5. Boys of Jackson Harbor series by Lexi Ryan
Lexi Ryan is one of my all-time favorite authors. I loved the first book in this series but it’s not available on KU so I’ve been putting it off. I’m itching to be back with these characters though, so I’ll definitely be prioritizing them this year – all 5 of them
6. Becker Brother series by Kandi Steiner
Technically this series isn’t finished yet, but the final book is releasing a little later this year! I still need to read the 3rd book (which is on my Smutathon TBR) and then I’ll be picking up the final book as soon as it’s released! I love this series and I already miss it…
7. Playbook series by Alexa Martin
I slept on this series for way too long but finally picked up Intercepted and absolutely adored it! I’m definitely planning to continue on this year!
8. Fake Boyfriend series by Eden Finley
I have no idea if I want to read all 5 remaining books in this series but I definitely want to give at least one or two more a read. I really enjoyed the first book but it’s been so long since I’ve read it that I don’t know if I’ll have the same feelings for the series anymore. Hopefully I do and can binge all the available books!
Do you have a ton of open series like me? Or do you tend to start and finish series all in one go?

Best of luck!
