2020 Releases: November – December

Anticipated releases for the FINAL two months of the year!

2020 is FINALLY coming to an end!!

The end of the year is usually pretty slow for new releases so this edition is a little smaller than normal. There’s still a couple exciting things coming out before the holidays though!

November

Okay there are some MASSIVE sequels being released this month that I’m not personally picking up but I wanted to briefly shout out.

Here are the remaining books I’m personally excited about or have on my radar.

November 3rd

1. The Ravens by Kass Morgan & Danielle Paige

This is a YA paranormal fantasy about a group of sorority girls that are also a coven of witches.

November 10th

1. A Lady’s Guide to Mischief and Mayhem (A Lady’s Guide #1) by Manda Collins

This is a historical romance set in Victorian London following a female reporter and a detective who just wants her out of the away from his crime scene.

2. Written in the Stars by Alexandria Bellefleur

This is a sapphic, own voices fake dating romance! It follows 2 women who agree to fake date through the holidays in order to appease their families. This is one classic plot I’ll never tire of and I can’t wait for a sapphic spin on it!

November 24th

1. Archangel’s Sun (Guild Hunter #13) by Nalini Singh

This is the next book in this epic paranormal romance series. I’m only on book 5 so I’m not sure who or what this upcoming book follows but this urban fantasy series is all about Archangels and vampires as they battle for power and control. Only steamy.

2. Ruinsong by Julia Ember

This is a sapphic YA fantasy following two women who must unite forces to save their kingdom from the queen’s oppression. It sounds like a pretty classic YA fantasy plot but I’m always here for queer spins on classic stories.

3. Ready Player Two by Ernest Cline

The much anticipated (at least for me, other people seem to be annoyed by it 😅) sequel to Ready Player One! I have no idea what this is about or who it follows and I absolutely refuse to read a synopsis. I already have an exclusive, signed edition preordered!

December

October isn’t quite as crazy but there are some HUGE releases this month!

December 1st

1. How to Fail at Flirting by Denise Williams

This is an adult romance between an uptight university professor and a man who finally makes her feel alive again. The only probably is he’s the one person who might put her entire professional reputation at risk.

2. A Curse of Roses by Diana Pinguicha

This is a Portuguese inspired fantasy! (Fun fact about me: I’m half Portuguese so this book is a damn dream for me). It’s a fairytale inspired story about a young woman who is cursed to turn food into flowers at the touch. She must find a way to reverse the magic before she and her country starve.

3. Mediocre: The Dangerous Legacy of White Male America by Ijeoma Oluo

Ijeoma Oluo is an autobuy author for me and the title alone had me itching to pick this book up. It’s a look at how societies predisposition to giving White men power is detrimental to and “undermines the pursuit of happiness for all.”

4. Forever Wild (The Simple Wild #2.5) by K.A. Tucker

This is a novella following more of Calla and Jonah’s story. I will read literally anything in this series!

5. Deadly Dreams (Fortuna Sworn #3) by K.J. Sutton

This the next release in the 6 book Fortuna Sworn series. This is a new adult, dark fantasy romance series following Fae and other paranormal beings in a battle for power.

December 8th

1. Layla by Colleen Hoover

This Colleen Hoover’s first foray into paranormal romance and I can’t wait! It follows a woman who becomes ill and although she heals physically, her behavior takes a bizarre turn.

December 22nd

1. Heart of Fire (Blood of Zeus #2) by Meredith Wild & Angel Payne

This is the next book in a paranormal romance series I really want to give a read! This series follows a forbidden love between a demon and man with “god-like” strength and stature.

December 29th

1. The Wrong Family by Tarryn Fisher

This is the latest psychological thriller from the always polarizing Tarryn Fisher. This follows a retired therapist who moves in with a family she always thought of as perfect. But she quickly uncovers dark secrets.

What end of the year releases are you most excited for?!
