Tarot Cards Pick You Book Recommendation!

Happy Monday! Time to kick off the week with some new recommendations ♥

NOTE: I have links to places you can purchase these books – these are NOT affiliate links! While I do receive ALC copies from Libro.fm, I do not receive anything if you purchase from them.

However, if you would like to start an Libro.fm account, you can use my referral link for 1 free audiobook!

The Concept

I originally got this idea from Ariel Bissett! So if you haven’t seen her video, definitely head over to her channel.

This is a 3 card spread and you can play along one of two ways:

  1. Chose one of the 3 cards that speaks to you. Don’t over think it, just chose which ever one your gut is telling you to.
  2. View this as virtual weekly or 3 card spread! A 3 card spread can be read many ways but the most common interpretations are:
    • Past, Present, Future
    • Mind, Body, Spirit
    • You, Me, Us
    • Stop, Start, Continue

UPDATES: One of the things I’m changing this year is I’ll be including some video/story footage over on my Instagram. So if you want to watch that or pick a card over video, the story will be saved to a highlight all week ❤️

The Spread

Now is the time to pick a card! I’ll read the cards from Left to Right. So feel free to skip to the card you pick or read them all!

Card 1: ‘The Past’

The first card is: 3 OF SWORDS

Not the most welcome card in the deck – the 3 of swords represents betrayal, heartbreak, and turmoil. A period of difficulty, hardship, and emotional turmoil are ahead. You must give yourself time to process what has happened. But remember – even the most difficult situations teach us something. Give yourself grace to heal and learn, and reach out to loved ones for help if you need it.

Recommendation

Sacrifice (Bloodline Vampires #1) by Katee Robert

This is a super steamy MMMF vampire romance!

The story kicks off with heroine being sacrificed to one of the vampire bloodlines. But when she is dropped there, she realizes that she isn’t the only person her father has abused and betrayed.

There is definitely a lot of betrayal, heartbreak, and turmoil throughout not only this novella, but it’s sequel as well. This tetrad has tons of baggage and history they need to work through and it causes a lot of emotional discomfort. But the dynamic between all of them is fantastic and I love how they lean on each for different things.

But if you want something fun, dark, and ultra steamy, this is definitely the book/series for you!

Card 2: ‘The Present’

The second card is: 8 OF SWORDS

You are surrounded by obstacles and threats and see no way out. You may be feeling trapped, isolated, and restricted. But look inward, what is holding you in place? This is time of consequence and judgment – you can’t hold on much longer and only you have the power to break away!

Recommendation

She Drives Me Crazy by Kelly Quindlen

Purchase Physical Copy

This is a YA contemporary romance with a cute cover and synopsis, but lots of deep and important substance inside.

This follows a teen who is struggling to get over her ex-girlfriend. She was in a toxic relationship and lost herself throughout their time together. Now that she is on her own, she’s struggling with her confidence and self-worth.

Scottie really goes on an internal journey throughout this. She gets herself into some terrible situations thanks to some poor choices, and must figure out how to stand on her own and get herself out.

This is for you if you want funny sarcastic banter, rivals to lovers romance, and an amazing exploration of grief and self-acceptance.

Card 3: ‘The Future’

The final card is: THE TOWER

This major arcana represents unexpected upheaval. It’s time to brace yourself for change! You may feel as though your world is crashing all around you. But even though change can be difficult, you’ll eventually look back and be grateful for this breakthrough.

Recommendation

This upcoming fantasy immediately came to mind for this card!

Blade of Secrets (Bladesmith #1) by Tricia Levenseller

Purchase Physical Copy
Purchase Audio Copy

This is the start of a new YA fantasy duology following 2 sisters – one who is a swordsmith that is capable of magicking the weapons she creates. When they accidentally create an all-powerful sword for someone determined to conquer the kingdom, they sisters take the sword and flee.

The main character, Ziva, deals heavily with social anxiety and panic attacks (and as someone who also suffers from panic attacks, the depiction is spot on). So the changes she is thrust into are not easy for her to manage.

But the sisters acquire some unlikely companions and they form a powerful bond along the way.

This book hooked me from the very beginning so definitely pick this up if you want something with unique magic, an unlikely but lovable crew, and slow burn romance!

What card did you pick and did the meaning/recommendation fit for you??
