November 2018 TBR

Happy November! I’m so excited to be heading into November and the holidays! And now that it’s always dark and cold here, it’s the perfect time to hide inside and read. So here are some of the books I want to get to.

NovTbr

I’m gonna try and keep these descriptions short because I have a quite a few books on this list. But I apologize in advance if this gets long…

1. The Echo Room by Parker Peevyhouse

I picked this up from the library in October but wasn’t able to fit it in last month. This sounds like a creepy, confusing science fiction story. On Goodreads this is labeled as everything – YA, sci-fi, fantasy, horror, thriller, mystery, dystopian… I’m excited about it.

2. The Final Empire (Mistborn #1) by Brandon Sanderson

I started this in September and got about 1/3 of the way through, but put it down for my jam packed October TBR. So I’m definitely gonna finish this in November. This is a super popular adult, high fantasy.

3. A Perilous Undertaking (Veronica Speedwell #2) by Deanna Raybourn

I read the first book back in September and really liked it. So I’ve been looking forward to getting back into this world. This is a historical mystery series that takes place in 1887 London.

4. Sawkill Girls by Claire Legrand

This is another book I wanted to read in October but didn’t get to. So I’m definitely getting to it this month. This is about a group of girls that travel to Sawkill Rock, the home of mysterious evil, to discovery why girls have been disappearing here for decades.

5. Broken Things by Lauren Oliver

Yet another mystery/thriller that is spilling over from October. This one is about a group of young girls who are believed to have murdered their best friends. But they didn’t do it. I’ve been obsessed with mysteries lately.

6. The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle.

Surprise, surprise, another mystery! I’ve been crazy hyped for this, it sounds like a classic whodunit with sci-fi a twist.

7. Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo

This isn’t a super high priority, but if I have time I’d like to finish this duology. I wasn’t the biggest fan of Six of Crows, but I don’t like leaving series unfinished, so I want to give this a shot.

8. The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath

I’m doing a buddy read with Merphy Napier for this book. I consider this my favorite classic of all time, but I haven’t read it over 10 years. So I’m really looking forward to revisiting it as an adult.

9. If We Were Villains by M.L. Rio

I borrowed this on audiobook because I’ve heard so many amazing things about it recently. On the day the main character is released from jail, he finally reveals the truth about the mysterious, violent tragedy that occurred 10 years prior.

10. Girls of Paper and Fire by Natasha Ngan

I’M SO HYPED FOR THIS! This is a YA fantasy that comes out November 6th. I’ve heard amazing reviews from people who were lucky enough to get arcs of this.

11. Blanca & Roja by Anna-Marie McLemore

Okay last but not least. I don’t actually have this one yet, but I requested it from the library. It’s a YA magical realism about rival sisters. This is another book I’ve heard nothing but rave reviews for.

What books are on your TBR for November? Hope you have an amazing reading month!
