Hey there! I know it’s been a long hot minute (even though I said I was coming back months ago 😅). But I’m back – again!
Let’s start with a super quick life update!
Life Update
So back in September I announced that I was starting a booktube channel and that I was coming back to blogging.
Unfortunately around that same time I was hit by a pretty severe chronic illness relapse. I’ve had moderate Ulcerative Colitis since I was 17 and I’ve been in remission for nearly a decade. But in the last year or so I’ve had more and more relapses and in 2021 I officially stopped responding to my medication.
So that meant I spent the last quarter of the year in and out of the doctor, trying new therapies, and being on a scary amount of immunosuppressants (made scarier by the simultaneous pandemic resurgence…)
Which meant I honestly didn’t have the mental capacity for much else. I was on leave from work and just taking each day as it came. Some days I felt totally normal and others I couldn’t get out of bed. It’s been a rollercoaster but I’m finally coming out the other side.
I’m on a biologic that seems to be working and hopefully soon I’ll be weaning off the cocktail of steroids.
And all that to say – I think I’m finally at a place mentally to return again 🖤
What That Means
Schedule! I love schedules but I’m still not sure what is going to work moving forward. Not only with my health but balancing this, videos, Instagram, my full time job, my family, adulting, etc.
So in January we’re going to try 5 days of content across my 2 platforms.
On Youtube I’ll post Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
And Here I’ll post Tuesday and Thursday.
Will that stay the same after January? Who the heck knows 😅 But I’m committing to it for the next month!

1. Gallant by V.E. Schwab

Possibly my most anticipated release of the whole year! This is a YA fantasy that’s a mix between The Secret Garden and Crimson Peak. It follows a girl at boarding school who returns to her mysterious childhood home and starts unraveling dark secrets.

2. STEM Romance Novella Trilogy by Ali Hazelwood
Release Date: May, June, & July 2022
A 3 part novella series following a 3 female scientist leads. These are all coming to audio FIRST and will later be released in print.
This first book follows Mara, an environmental engineer, who falls in love with her lawyer roommate and nemesis. Stuck With You follows Sadie, a civil engineer, who gets stuck in an elevator with her ex. And Below Zero follows Hannah, a NASA aerospace engineer, who is injured in the arctic and rescued by her long time rival.
3. Love & Other Disasters by Anita Kelly
Release Date: January 18, 2022
An adult rom-com following a recently divorced heroine who enters a cooking show competition to take back her life. But ends up falling for (literally) the first openly non-binary competitor.
4. Spells for Forgetting by Adrienne Young
Release Date: August 2, 2022
Adrienne Young’s first adult novel!

A YA fantasy romance about a teenage astronomer who carries the knowledge of the stars and may be the only person who can cure the sickness taking over.
