So this is very last minute but I’ve been seeing a few TBR’s and decided this is the perfect time to finally tackle some of the big books I’ve accumulated on my TBR. I’ve always so intimidated by big books because I know it means I won’t be able to get to as many books as I normally do. So even though I’m super hyped for them, I keep putting them off. So here are the details…
This readathon runs from November 16th – November 29th.
The reading challenge are:
1. Read more than one tome (500+ pages)
2. Read a graphic novel (500+ pages, can be omnibuses)
3. Read a tome that’s part of a series
4. Buddy read a tome
5. Read an adult novel
Full disclosure, I’m not going to be participating in all the challenges. I’m using this readathon to knock out some books I already own so I won’t be picking up things just to satisfy challenges. Graphic novels aren’t my thing , so I’m going to be skipping that challenge entirely. And I’m skipping the buddy read. I’m already in the middle of a buddy read and don’t want to take on more than I can handle.
The first 2 books are the ones I will most likely get to first, and then I’ll choose another one, if possible, from the remaining list.
1. Well of Ascension by Brandon Sanderson
This is the second book in the Mistborn Trilogy. I’m just about to finish up The Final Empire so I’m pretty sure I’m going to be itching to jump right into this.
2. The Secret History by Donna Tartt
This was part of my October unhaul so I’m supposed to be reading this anyways. So this would be the perfect time to pick it up.
All the remaining books on this list, were on my most anticipated books of the year list. But for one reason or another I haven’t gotten to them yet and I need to!!
3. The Poppy War by R.F. Kuang
4. The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle
5. Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi
6. Furyborn by Claire Legrand
Are you participating in the readathon? What books are you hoping to get to??
