Oh What Fun Readathon TBR

It’s time for my final readathon of the year!

ChristmasSisters

I’m setting up my TBR a little different for this one, so lets get into the challenges and the books I want to read.

This readathon is hosted by Mackenzie Lane! Check out the readathon’s Instagram and Twitter pages for the full challenge list as well the photo challenges! I actually helped set up the photo challenges so I hope you love the prompts!

This readathon has two “lists” of challenges – the Naughty List and the Nice List. For this readathon I’m going to be completing challenges from TBR jar picks. So I wrote down all 9 challenge I want to participate it and I will draw one at random as I need.

Here are the 9 challenges I picked to participate in!

Nice List

1. Read a Harry Potter Book

For this I will most likely pick up the first book. It’s been years since I’ve reread these and I would love to get back into this world!

2. Read the 25th Book on Your TBR

For this challenge I went to Goodreads. The 25th book on my TBR is The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender by Leslye Walton. But I wanted to give myself a second option so I randomized my Want to Read shelf and also chose the 25th book on that list – Fake Out by Eden Finley. This was also on my Smutathon TBR but I didn’t get to it, so that works out!

3. Light a Candle While Reading

I love these types of challenges. When I draw this challenge I’ll draw another challenge and do this while reading that book.

4. Read a Classic

For this I will most likely read A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. I’ve never read this original story and it seems like the perfect time to finally get to it. Plus it’s free on Kindle Unlimited!

Naughty List

1. Read a Holiday Romance

For this I am DEFINITELY reading Merry Inkmas by Talia Hibbert! I’ve heard such good things about this book and this is the perfect challenge for it.

2. Read a Book You Got for Christmas Last Year but Haven’t Read

Okay I have quite a few options for this actually… I’m going to choose from Murder on the Links by Agatha Christie, Far From the Tree by Robin Benway, or Wild Beauty by Anna-Marie McLemore. I’m not sure what I’m going to be in the mood for so it’s nice that I options for this one.

3. Read by the Fire

Another freebie challenge! Just like the other one, I’ll draw another challenge when I get this one.

4. Read a Book About Villains

I’m stretching this challenge a bit because I really wanted to find a way to sneak this book into this readathon. So I’m choosing The Afterlife of Holly Chase by Cynthia Hand. This is about the main character who gets the “Scrooge treatment” but doesn’t change her ways.

5. Read a Book You Bought Mainly Because of the Cover

For this I think I’m going to read The Christmas Sisters by Sarah Morgan. I’d seen this floating around on people’s holiday TBRs and when I found it at Barnes and Noble the pretty pink cover pulled me in. Plus it seems like a Hallmark-movie-esque read so I’m down for it.

Are you planning to participate! I’d love to follow along with your readathon! There’s also a prompt to buddy read a book, if you’re still on the hunt for a buddy, let me know!
