Smutathon Wrap Up

Happy Blogmas day 17! This month is FLYING by.

This readathon was exactly what I need this month! This was hands down my most successful readathon of all time. I finished 6 books! I have never read that much in a single week before.

I had such an amazing reading week and can’t wait to gush about all these books. So here’s what I read and some stats from this past week!

What I Read

1. The Deal by Elle Kennedy ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

This was my first read for Smutathon and it set the bar super high! This story was flipping precious I could hardly stand it. I loved the romance in this and Garrett was 100% swoon worthy. If you’re looking for a really fun, non-angst romance definitely check this one out!

2. What He Doesn’t Know by Kandi Steiner ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I listened this one of audiobook and it also blew me away. This was heartfelt story about love and fidelity. This story really blurs the lines of cheating and makes you question what is best of the main character. I was nervous going into this because I wasn’t looking for a book to justify infidelity, but this handled the topic so well even the reader is confused by the end.

3. Hate to Love You by Erin Riley ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

I follow Erin and Instagram and was so excited to receive a copy of her first book! This was a fun, quick read. And it was super steamy so it was perfect for this readathon! There wasn’t a ton of depth to this story and the wrap up felt super quick (although I feel that way with a lot of romances) but overall I had a good time reading this.

4. What He Always Knew Kandi Steiner ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

After finishing What He Doesn’t Know I HAD to jump directly into the sequel. And it did not disappoint. For the last hour I literally sat on my kitchen floor and just listened this story. I got so wrapped up in this world. If you’re looking for a heart-breaking, beautiful romance I can’t recommend this duet enough. And a spin off was just announced!!

5. Birthday Girl by Penelope Douglas ⭐️⭐️⭐️

I picked this up because everyone seems to love this book and I was in the mood for something extra smutty. This was definitely more slow burn that I was expecting but overall I enjoyed it. It wasn’t my favorite romance of the week but it was good. Definitely fit the forbidden romance challenge.

6. Hate Notes by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward ⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was my final, and sadly least favorite, read of the readathon. This was still good, hence the 3 star rating, but I had issues with a few things in here. And it was so tame on the smut. Which was disappointing.
