Five Favorite Books I Read This Fall

Happy winter and Blogmas day 21! ❄️

Okay so winter is my least favorite season of the year but at least it’s almost Christmas! For Blogmas day 21 (holy crap) I’m gushing about my 5 favorite books from last season.

I read a lot of really good books this season! So it was surprisingly difficult to narrow it down to just 5. So I’m starting with some honorable mentions.

Honorable mentions:

Tower of Dawn by Sarah J Maas, Blanca & Roja by Anna-Marie McLemore, The Deal by Elle Kennedy, and What He Doesn’t Know by Kandi Steiner.

5. The Broken Girls by Simone St. James

I feel like this books is really underrated. I read this for Spookathon this past October it took my complete surprise. It had the spookiness I was looking for mixed with hard-hitting themes. I highly recommend this if you’re into mystery/thrillers!

4. Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J. Maas

I couldn’t make this list without mentioning this book. I binge read this series starting late last year and got swept away in it. This is definitely a series (and author) you either connect with or don’t. This isn’t going to be for everyone. But this ending was so bitter sweet and I loved it. I’ve decided not to write a review on this though. No matter how hard I tried, it turned into rambling garbage.

3. Mistborn: The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson

I’ve been dragging my feet on this series all year. I kept picking it up only to get swept into something else. But I finally sat down and read this in late October and I totally understand why so many people love this. This world is rich and the magic system is so complex and amazing. I’m planning to pick up book 2 right away in the new year. This is another book I’m planning to review. It’s been reviewed a million times by much more eloquent reviewers.

2. Girls of Paper and Fire by Natasha Ngan

When I heard the synopsis for this there was no doubt in my mind I would love this book. And it did not disappoint. This has the most precious f/f romance and a world that had me captivated from page 1. I cannot wait for the sequel!

1. Scream All Night by Derek Milman

I don’t think I’ve stopped gushing about this book sine I read it in October. This book was SO good and made my top books of the year (spoiler). It’s a hilarious contemporary with one of my most favorite stetting of all time. This book is amazing, please check it out!
