Happy 2019!! I’m a little late with this post thanks to a nasty stomach flu that hit me at the end of December. But better late than never!

I love stats so I thought I would share some of mine from the year!

Alright to kick it off!

Total books: 69

Total Pages read: 24,700

Average rating: 3.8

Rating Breakdown

This was really interesting! I definitely thought I 3 starred more books. But 4 star was actually my most common rating! I had a really good reading year though, so I should be so surprised.

Monthly Breakdown

Oh man the reading slump was SO. REAL. through the middle of the year. Luckily October and all the wonderful readathons cured me.

Release Date

I read mostly backlist books this year. I didn’t get back into reading until mid 2017 so there are just so many books I missed out on. But I did pick up quite a few new releases and was lucky enough to get a 2019 arc!

Standalone vs Series

I binged a TON of series this year. I finally jumped on the Maas train and binged the entire ToG and ACOTAR series. Plus I read the entire Raven Cycle and started a handful of new series. So I was really surprised to find that I actually read more standalone this year. Albeit barely.

Author Breakdown

This blew me away. I knew I read a lot of amazing female authors but damn. I read almost exclusively women authors this year.

Author

Genre Breakdown

This one was kind of surprising too! I knew I read a lot of fantasy but my second most read genre was romance. Which in hindsight is clear but I wasn’t expecting that!

Genre

Age Range

I read pretty close to 50/50 YA and Adult which isn’t surprising. I don’t love a lot of YA contemporary/romance so most of those were adult. While a lot of the fantasy I read was YA.
