Readathons

Here are some readathons happening this week/month if you’re looking for one to participate in!

1. Biannual Bibliothon

This is the final round of this readathon! It’s hosted by whole slew of Booktubers and they have their own account here! This round is longer than previous and includes some of their classic challenges (both reading and video challenges!) Definitely check out their account for all the details!

New Releases

This is the big week of new releases (for me at least) this month!

 

1. Wilder Girls by Rory Power

This is being pitched as a sapphic YA, gender bent Lord of the Flies, horror novel. This has been on a lot of people’s most anticipated lists and I’m so excited it’s finally releasing! I was lucky enough to get an arc of this (which I put off reading for way too long). So my review should be coming shortly!!

2. The Storm Crow by Kalyn Josephson

This is a YA fantasy about elemental crows that have disappeared after an invasion. Until a new egg is discovered.

3. Maybe This Time by Kasie West

This follows the main character over the course of 1 year at 9 big events. And I’m sure in classic Kasie West fashion, it’ll be an adorable romance. I didn’t end up reading her release from earlier this year (I don’t like books about musicians/famous people). But I’m really excited about this one!

4. Under Currents by Nora Roberts

Nora Roberts is iconic romance. This follows a man who flees his hometown for college after a family blow up. Now he’s back home, facing the demons of his past with help from an artist named Darby. This is another arc I put off way too long. But I will get my review up asap!

5. The Bookish Life of Nina Hill by Abbi Waxman

This is an adult romance about a book-loving woman named Nina who is forced to break out of her introverted shell.

Reading Update + TBR!

Recently Finished

Another slow reading week…

1. The Simple Wild by K.A. Tucker ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It took me awhile to get into this, but by the halfway point I was hooked! This is actually a series I unhauled awhile back because I didn’t think I had any interest in picking it up anymore. But I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this! I’m hoping to have a full review up later this month!

Currently Reading

 

1. The Wife Between Us by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen

Yes, I’m still reading this… I’m really enjoying it!! Things got CRAZY around the half way point. I just haven’t had a ton of audiobook listening time. I will for sure be finishing it this week though!

2. Under Currents by Nora Roberts

I have an arc of this from Edelweiss+ and it is being released tomorrow! So I need to finish this asap! I’m planning to have my review up tomorrow or Wednesday! Fun fact – this is my first Nora Roberts book!!

What’s Next

Since I have no immediate arcs that need to be read! I’m planning to mood read this week, yay! I desperately want to pick up a couple mystery/thrillers. Here are some on my list that I might pick up!
