Okay, okay… I know I’ve failed a lot of these 😅
So back in June I did a 5 star prediction for books I wanted to read before the end of the year. And technically I haven’t finished that… BUT I’ve actually DNF’d 2 of them and removed 1 from my TBR… so unfortunately I think that list was a bust 🙈
SO! I’m trying again. All of these books are on my immediate TBR or I have/am receiving ARCs for – so I’m already obligated to read them (I definitely need the extra pressure apparently 😅). So hopefully I will ACTUALLY have a wrap up for you before the end of the year!
I’m sticking with 5 books for right now. But I actually have a big list that I’m going to be pulling from in the future. I’m pretty stingy with my 5 star ratings (especially lately!) so this list was tricker to make than I anticipated.
Here’s the books!
1. I Knead You Tonight (Slice #2) by Teagan Hunter
I 5 star the MAJORITY of Teagan Hunter’s books so this was an easy choice! I love the low angst, witty banter, and adorable yet steamy romances she writes. She is definitely an all-time favorite author of mine and I’m pretty confident this new book will be an easy 5 star!
2. Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn
I 100% realize I’m the only person alive who still hasn’t read this. This is part of my Nightmareathon TBR and based off the amazing Goodreads average rating and rave reviews I’ve heard over the years, I’m expecting to be blown away by this thriller. Plus I’ve read other books by this author that I really enjoyed!
3. The Turn of the Key by Ruth Ware
I love Ruth Ware’s books but I’ve yet to give one a full 5 stars. BUT! Every book I’ve read of hers has received a higher rating than the previous one, and I gave The Death of Mrs. Westaway 4 stars. I’ve heard this book is the best one yet, so I’m hoping this will be 5 stars! I’m excited to get to this during Spookathon!
4. Winterwood by Shea Ernshaw
I fell in love with Shea Ernshaw’s writing in The Wicked Deep and was so excited when I received an e-arc of her next book! This sounds even spookier than the last book and I’m so excited to get this, this fall! This has been getting great early buzz so I’m hoping this will blow me away! PS this cover DEFINITELY gets 5 stars! 😍
5. The Grace Year by Kim Liggett
I’ve heard nothing but rave reviews for this! And this premise sounds so hard hitting, relevant, and right up my alley! I was lucky enough to receive an arc copy of this but haven’t been able to get to it yet. But it’s definitely happening this fall!!
Have you read any of these books?? I’d love to hear what you thought of them!

Gone Girl is going to be a 10000 star review!! Haha
