Happy Spring ♥ Here are some books I think would make great additions to your TBR!

These are some books I think would be perfect spring  reads. Most of these books are mysterious, slightly magical, and extremely atmospheric. Apparently that is the vibe I associate with spring 🌸

All of my reviews are linked!

1. Sawkill Girls by Claire Legrand

SawkillGirls

This book has perspectives from the island and involves moths and other animals. Something about the nature aspect of this just screams spring to me.

2. The Ten Thousand Doors of January by Alix E. Harrow

TenThousandDoorsOfJanuary

This books is extremely whimsical and magical and that vibe is what I associate with spring. This book won’t be for everyone, but it’s an all time favorite of mine.

3. House of Salt and Sorrows by Erin A. Craig

HouseOfSaltSorrows

This fantasy novel takes place over the course of multiple months. So while some of this is set during winter, there are definitely parts set during spring and the sea vibes just make me feel like this is the right time to read this if you haven’t yet.

4. Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson

SorceryOfThorns

This is a fantasy novel about a young woman who defends the magical books and library. This standalone mixes fantasy with romance and feels like perfect transition book to fluffier titles.

5. A Curious Beginning (Veronica Speedwell #1) by Deanna Raybourn

CuriousBeginning

Veronica Speedwell is a scientist who studies butterflies. What’s more spring that butterflies?

6. The Grace Year by Kim Liggett

GraceYear

There is definitely a large portion of this book set during winter. However, the main climax takes place in fall. The themes of change and rebirth just feel right for this time of year.

7. The Dreamers by Karen Thompson Walker

Dreamers

This book is speculative and definitely not for everyone. But if you like atmospheric writing and unexplained speculative elements, this book is an underrated favorite of mine.

8. The Shadows Between Up by Tricia Levenseller

ShadowsBetweenUs

This one is on this list because I’m obsessed and want everyone to read it. It’s a new release, so it’s the perfect time to jump on the bandwagon.

What are some books you think would perfect to read during the spring? Definitely share your recommendations with me in the comments!

Oooh, these are fabulous recommendations! I read House of Salt and Sorrows, and was pleasantly surprised by how much I loved it (I mean, not that I intended to hate it, but I only read it based on recommendations and not because I was attracted by the summary). I’ve read The Shadows Between Us, too, and … yes! There is never not a good time to read that. More Slytherin romances!

I really need to read The Sorcery of Thorns still, and I actually just grabbed A Curious Beginning from my library, so … apparently, I have good timing? Looking forward to reading it!
