Weekly Tarot Card Book Recommendations

Round 3 ♥

LoveLettering

The Concept

I totally got this idea from Ariel Bissett! So if you haven’t seen her video, definitely go check it out.

This is a 3 card spread and you can play along one of two ways:

  1. Chose one of the 3 cards that speaks to you. Don’t over think it, just chose which ever one your gut is telling you to.
  2. View this as virtual weekly or 3 card spread! A 3 card spread can be read many ways but the most common interpretations are:
    • Past, Present, Future
    • Mind, Body, Spirit
    • You, Me, Us
    • Stop, Start, Continue

The Spread

Now is the time to pick a card! I’ll read the cards from Left to Right. So feel free to skip to the card you pick or read them all!

Card 1: The Past

Card1

The first card is THE WORLD

Meaning

This is actually the final card in the deck. The World card signifies wholeness, contentment, and harmony. It signifies the end of a cycle or the pause before the next big beginning. This card indicates a big change is ahead. It’s the conclusion of one story and possibility for a new one.

Recommendation

This one was a little trickier to find a recommendation for since it’s all about completion and conclusion. I didn’t want to recommend the end of a series since that’s not obviously a book you can pick up on its own. So instead I went with –

Maybe in Another Life by Taylor Jenkins Reid

MaybeInAnotherLife

The premise of this book is that the main character is faced with a life changing decision. And we follow her down both paths seeing how the decision affects her life. This book is all about possibilities! Taylor Jenkins Reid has some amazing commentary on what love means. If you haven’t checked this book out yet, I highly recommend you do!

Card 2: The Present

Card2

The second card is 4 OF CUPS

Meaning

The Four of Cups represents greed, regret and stagnation. You are most likely focusing on the negative and are feeling a loss of passion or motivation. You may be feeling frustrated, weary, or disillusioned with life.

Opportunity may be available, do not miss them or belittle them!

Recommendation

I knew immediately I wanted to recommend this book. It’s one of my favorites of the year!

Beach Read by Emily Henry

BeachRead

This book follows a romance author who has hit a rough patch and no longer feels like she can write a happily ever after. She recently lost her father and discovered his affair, was dumped by her boyfriend, became homeless, and is struggling financially. This book is all about her rediscovering her love for writing and coming to terms with her new life. It’s also laugh out loud funny and has one of the most swoon worthy romances I’ve read this year.

Card 3: The Future

Card3

The final card is FATHER OF SWORDS

The Meaning

This card symbolizes structure, routine, logic, and power. Be analytical and fair minded! You should prioritize “mind over matter” and “head over heart”.

Recommendation

I read this book at the end of the last year and absolutely adored it! The hero in this story immediately came to mind when I flipped this card!

Love Lettering by Kate Claybourn

LoveLettering

This is an adult romance that follows a free spirited calligrapher who has been hiding secret codes in her work. When one of her previous clients approaches her and asks how she knew his marriage would fail, she worries he’ll reveal her secret and crumble her career. But they form an unlikely bond – he helps her rediscover her inspiration and she slowly breaks down is cold, analytical walls.

The hero in here is the embodiment of this card. He’s ethical, distant, analytical, and logical. I absolutely loved his story arc and can’t recommend this book enough!

That’s it for this weeks recommendations!

What card did you chose?? Let me know if you like your recommendation and if you have any others!
