Weekly Tarot Card Book Recommendations

Weekly tarot recs are back – Round 7! ♥

The Concept

I totally got this idea from Ariel Bissett! So if you haven’t seen her video, definitely go check it out.

This is a 3 card spread and you can play along one of two ways:

  1. Chose one of the 3 cards that speaks to you. Don’t over think it, just chose which ever one your gut is telling you to.
  2. View this as virtual weekly or 3 card spread! A 3 card spread can be read many ways but the most common interpretations are:
    • Past, Present, Future
    • Mind, Body, Spirit
    • You, Me, Us
    • Stop, Start, Continue

The Spread

Now is the time to pick a card! I’ll read the cards from Left to Right. So feel free to skip to the card you pick or read them all!

Card 1: The Past

The first card is 3 of Pentacles

Meaning

This is a card of teamwork, determination, and focus. The task ahead is momentous! Focus your efforts. Discipline, strategy, and hard work are need more than ever. If you grow weary, rely on those around you for support. The strength of all is needed to conquer this mountain!

Recommendation

Honestly, could this card be any more perfect for the time we’re living in?

For this card I recommend:

Girls of Paper and Fire by Natasha Ngan

This book is all about rebellion. Massive trigger warnings for assault, rape, abuse, and death in here. But this book was a powerful read. Lei is stolen from her home and taken to the oppressive palace where she is forced to become a concubine for the demon king. But Lei fights back and threatens the kingdoms oppressive way of life.

Card 2: The Present

The second card is The Devil

First repeat! And it’s fitting AF….

Meaning

This card is an urgent call to acknowledge what is weighing you down or holding you back.

It can mean you’re living in fear or feeling dominated. The devil symbolizes addiction, negativity, and materialism. It can come in the form of materialistic possessions, thoughts, substances, or relationships.

Recommendation

This time, I decided to recommend a book that represents the relationship side of this card.

Love Her or Lose Her by Tessa Bailey

This book follows a couple whose relationship is on the rocks. Rosie feels trapped in her unhealthy marriage but finally decides to ask for a divorce. Her husband Dominic is battling his own demons, but refuses to lose the love of his life. Throughout this book, the main characters have to face to toxicity of their relationship and the way they treat each other, and learn to love each other again.

Card 3: The Future

The final card is 10 of Pentacles

The Meaning

This card symbolizes Fulfillment and Abundance – both material and spiritual. You journey is almost complete and it will be well worth it. Be generous with your time, money, and knowledge. You have built a solid foundation and will reap the awards soon.

This card also often represents a harmony in your familial life.

Recommendation

The familial aspect of this card immediately made me think of this book –

Queen Move by Kennedy Ryan

This is a politically charged adult romance following Kimba who is a political advisor and her childhood love Ezra who runs a free private school. This second chance romance is all about familial bonds, chasing your dreams, and facing the curveballs life throws at you head on. Kimba is one of my all-time favorite female characters and the familial bonds (both blood and found family) in here are beautiful and supportive.

That’s it for this weeks recommendations!

What card did you chose?? Let me know if you like your recommendation and if you have any others!
