I received an ARC copy of this from the author via Wildfire Marketing in exchange for an honest review
Thea is hopelessly single. But when her brother tries to set her up with a date for his upcoming wedding, she lies and tells her family that she already has a plus one.
After a chance encounter at Slice, she strikes a deal with Sully – be her fake boyfriend until after the wedding in exchange for fixing his boat’s engine.
They agree to keep things strictly platonic. But neither can resist the pull they have towards each other.

Just like the previous books in this series, this book was so much fun!! I’ve been waiting for Sully’s story and this did not disappoint.
Like with all of Teagan Hunter’s books, this story was laugh out loud funny. I loved Thea’s parents in Slice of Love and I loved that we got to see more of them in this story. They are adorable and brought so much humor.
I already knew I loved Sully from the previous books, but he was absolutely swoony in here. I loved the juxtaposition of his quiet and intuitive side versus is commanding, sexy side *fans self* However, we got glimpses of his past that didn’t feel fully fledged out and I wish they had been explored more. Sully is extremely private due to his difficult childhood and I wanted more from that plot line.
Thea was a fun and quirky character that I enjoyed but didn’t fully connect to. While she had a ton of oddball characteristics I didn’t feel like she was a very deep character.
The steamy scenes in here were top notch though! That scene at the autoshop had me like 😳🔥
Overall this was another really fun rom-com by one of my all time favorite romance authors. Every book by Teagan Hunter leaves a smile on my face and this was no exception. I enjoyed the chemistry between the characters, the fake dating trope, and loads of humor sprinkled throughout this. If you’re looking for a summery romance, definitely check out this book/series!
