I think I might be even more excited for this month’s TBR than October’s!
So I was super excited for October’s TBR! Unfortunately it was kind of a bust… I had so many 3 stars books….
But I have high hopes for November’s TBR!
I’ve been holding onto a lot of these for a month without as many commitments and the time as finally come!

What’s Happening
First up – here are some bookish events that are happening this month!
I also recently (finally) updated the Readathons page with these and other upcoming readathons I know about!
1. Paranormal Romance Readathon: October 30-November 6
This is currently happening but there’s still time to jump in and join! It’s a full week of paranormal romance goodness!
2. The Thousand Doors Readathon: November 1-8
This is a choose your own adventure readathon I’m really excited to follow along with! It starts today so there’s still time to join in!
3. Gilmore Girls Readathon: November 15-22
I’m not sure if I’m participating this year, but I did it in 2019 and it was a lot of fun. There’s tons of a fun reading prompts and a new discord page! So definitely check out their Twitter for links and more info.
4. Tome Topple: TBD
I’m fairly certain Tome Topple is happening at some point this month – and I’m definitely participating in it! I’ve been holding onto some chunky books for the next round for awhile now.
What I’m Reading
This is a little more of a wish list than set TBR. I have a ton of books I’ve been eying and I think I’m just going to mood read from this list.
I broke this into 3 sections – Physical books, Audiobooks, and Kindle books.
Physical Books
1. Kingdom of Flesh and Fire (Blood and Ash #2) by Jennifer L. Armentrout
I’m so excited to carry on with this series! This is one I’ll be reading for Tome Topple whenever that happens this month.
2. The Kingdom of Copper (The Daevabad Trilogy #2) by S.A. Chakraborty
This is another sequel I’ve been holding onto for a couple months and I can’t wait to get back to this world. It’s also another Tome Topple pick.
3. The Queen of the Tearling (The Queen of the Tearling #1) by Erika Johansen
I have this out from the library because I’ve been in a fantasy mood and I’ve heard good things about this series so I want to give it a try.
4. Graceling (Graceling Realm #1) by Kristin Cashore
This is another library loan! I picked it up because I’ve been seeing this series making the rounds with book 4 (or spinoff?) releasing next year.
5. The Trials of Morrigan Crow (Nevermoor #1) by Jessica Townsend
This middle grade fantasy has been on my radar for years. Book 3 was just released so now is the perfect time to give the series a go!
6. A Deadly Education (The Scholomance #1) by Naomi Novik
I was shocked to see how short this was! I can’t wait to give the dark fantasy a read.
7. The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield
This is a book that’s (semi) carrying over from October. It was on my wish list for the spooky season but I had a feeling it wasn’t going to fit in. It’s a dark, gothic historical fiction about an author.
8. Secrets of the Starcrossed (The Once and Future Queen #1) by Clara O’Connor
Thank you to Harper Collins UK for sending a physical ARC of this my way! This is an upcoming YA fantasy based on Arthurian legend!
I’ve been hyped for this adult fantasy for SO long! I’m so excited to finally pick this up in November.
10. The Left-Handed Booksellers of London by Garth Nix
This is another Arthurian/Merlin folklore based fantasy! (Apparently I have a type recently 😅)
11. Love is a Rogue (Wallflowers vs. Rogues #1) by Lenore Bell
This was an October release I wasn’t able to get to. I now have a physical copy and can’t wait to dive into this historical romance!
12. Crazy Stupid Bromance (Bromance Book Club #3) by Lyssa Kay Adams
This is another October ARC I wasn’t able to get to on time but desperately want to read asap. This is the next book in the Bromance Book Club series which I absolutely adore. Plus there’s a cat on the cover!
Kindle Books
1. A Curse of Roses by Diana Pinguicha
This is the Portuguese folklore fantasy book of my dreams. I can’t wait to give this a read!! I have an ARC copy but this releases December 1st!
2. A Lady’s Guide to Mischief and Mayhem (A Ladies Guide #1) by Manda Collins
This is another ARC I have. This is a historical rom-com that releases on November 10th!
3. How to Fail and Flirting by Denise Williams
Last ARC! This is one of my most anticipated romances of the year! It’s releasing on December 1st and follows an uptight female professor and her romance with the man who could destroy her professional career.
4. A Curse of Ash and Embers (Tales of the Blackbone Witches #1) by Jo Spurrier
I got this from Netgalley awhile back and all I know about it is it’s a YA fantasy about witches!
5. The Surviving Trace (Surviving Time #1) by Calia Read
I’ve had this out from Kindle Unlimited for the majority of 2020 and it’s finally time to give it a read! I believe this is a historical, time travel romance. And I’ve heard nothing but good things about it!
Audiobooks
1. Mistletoe and Mr. Right (Moose Springs Alaska #2) by Sarah Morgenthaler
I have this available from my library on Hoopla
I received an ARC copy of this from Netgalley but wasn’t able to get to it in October. I was really excited to find it on audio since that’s how I read book 1 in this series!
2. Skyhunter (Skyhunter #1) by Marie Lu

ALC copy kindly provide by Libro.fm
In case you haven’t noticed, I’m in a massive fantasy mood. I figured why not through a sci-fi into the mix! I’ve never read from this author but I’ve heard really amazing things about her books.
3. Transcendent Kingdom by Yaa Gyasi
ALC copy kindly provide by Libro.fm
I own this physically as well so I will probably follow along while I listen. I completely fell in love with Gyasi’s previous book (Homegoing) and just know this follow up with blow me away too.
Okay so I know a 20 book TBR is a little ridiculous 😅 But I’m using this more as a guide/list to pull from.
Let me know if you’re reading any of these books in November and would like to buddy read! ❤️
What are you most looking forward to reading this month??
♥♥♥♥
Happy November 1st! Great TBR. I enjoyed Graceling… I hope you do, too! 😊

I’m a little jealous of your TBR, all those books look so good! I have Deadly Education and Left handed booksellers on mine. They were in October but I didn’t get to them. Thirteenth Tale has been on my TBR for years, so one day I’ll finally get to it. It just looks so good. I have read Queen of the Tearling. It wasn’t as good as I wanted it to be honestly. Amazing concept, but the story fell flat. Good luck on your TBR!
