Books & Coffee: February 4 – 10

Monday’s definitely suck, but at least tomorrow is new releases. And this week has some amazing ones!

Readathons

It’s another quiet week readathon wise, I could only find 1 that actually starts right at the end of the week. So if you know of any others, definitely let me know in the comments!

1. InLoveAThon

This readathon is hosted by a ton of amazing  Booktubers! It runs from February 10-16th and has a ton of fun reading prompts perfect for the Valentines season. Definitely check out their twitter page for all the details and full challenge prompt list!

New Releases

This week’s new releases in INSANE! There are so many amazing books coming out. I have no idea how I’m going to keep up with all the new releases this year.

These are the 4 books I’m anticipating from this weeks releases!

1. The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides

Technically I already own this one because I got it from Book of the Month in January. But now it’s out there for the rest of the world. I just shared this in my February TBR, so I’m definitely planning to pick this up soon!

2. Fame, Fate, and the First Kiss by Kasie West

I read my first Kasie West book last year and it was so fun and precious. I don’t usually love books about acting/actors but I have high hopes that this one will be totally adorable. This is a YA contemporary about a on-set romance. I’ve already requested this one from the library so hopefully I get my hands on it soon!

3. The Night Olivia Fell by Christina McDonald

This sounds like an emotional, mystery/thriller. One night, Abi is woken to a phone call that her daughter Olivia has fallen off a bridge. Now she is not only brain-dead but also pregnant. The police rule it an accident but her mother is determined to find out what really happened. This is another one I have on hold at the library.

4. More Than Words by Jill Santopolo

I haven’t heard a ton about this, but Jill Santopolo wrote one of my favorite books of 2018, The Light We Lost. So I will read anything she comes out with. This is an adult contemporary who is caught between two world after the tragic loss of her father. This is one of my most anticipated books of the year and I’m so ready for it.

Here are some other amazing books coming out this month!! I definitely recommend checking them out!

Reading Update

Recently Finished

TheScore.pngI absolutely love the Off-Campus series and this was, hands down, my favorite of the series! This is the 3rd book in a series that follows a group of hockey players that all share a house off their college campus. This one in particular follows Dean, a self-proclaimed ladies man that always gets what he wants, and Allie, an acting student who just got out of a long-term relationship. This book was super sexy and adorable and I loved everything about it. If you haven’t checked out this series yet, definitely add it to your list!

Currently Reading

The Goal by Elle Kennedy

After loving The Score, I decided to jump right into book 4. I’m about 30% of the way through this one and sadly I don’t particularly love this one. It’s by far my least favorite in the series. But I plan to finish it up this week so I’ll try to get a review posted soon.

The Well of Ascension by Brandon Sanderson

I’m still working my way through this. I honestly haven’t picked up a book since Wednesday night because, you know, life. So I’m only about 20% through this but I love it already. This is the sequel to The Final Empire which is an adult fantasy with one of the my favorite magic systems of ever. This follows the aftermath of book 1 so I don’t want to talk about the premise of this one. Hopefully I can finish this book this month and talk about it in more detail!

Up Next

TwoSecretI’ve been a huge mystery/thriller kick and this is the next one on my TBR. This was released last month and it was one of my most anticipated January reads. I finally got my hands on a copy from my library and I’m super excited to get to it! This is takes place in a picture-perfect town where high school girls are disappearing.

What are you looking forward to this week? What are you reading?
