This is going to be a fun week! It’s the ReReadathon so I have lots of reading planned!
Readathons
There are 2 big readathons going on this week!
1. ReReadathon: March 10 – 16
This readathon was created by Merphy Napier and this round is being hosted by a ton of amazing bookish people! There are 7 booktubers, 7 bookstagrammers, and 7 bloggers hosting – 1 of each for each day of the readathon. And I’m one of the blogger hosts! I will be hosting a giveaway tomorrow, March 12th! So definitely check back then for a chance to win one of my favorite books. ♥ Also, check out my post here for all the reading challenges!
2. WitchAThon: March 13 – 20
This is a quarterly readathon hosted by Rhiannon from Crescent Moon Reads. There are 6 reading challenges and a group read! Check out the twitter page or Rhiannon’s youtube announcement for all the details and challenges!
New Releases
1. When the Sky Fell on Splendor by Emily Henry
I just got my copy of this from Book of the Month! And I’m planning to start it right away next week for the Buzzword readathon!
2. Heroine by Mindy McGinnis
This is a YA contemporary about a softball athlete who suffers an injury and becomes addicted to her pain medication. It sounds extremely intense and hard-hitting.
3. A Dangerous Collaboration (Veronica Speedwell #4) by Deanna Raybourn
This is book 4 of the Veronica Speedwell series. This is a historical mystery novel that takes place in 1880’s London. This is such a fun series, and I need to catch up asap.
4. Bloodleaf by Crystal Smith
This is the only book on the list not currently on my radar. However, this book has been crazy hyped! This is a new YA, fantasy retelling of a Goosegirl, a Grimm fairytale.
Reading Update
Recently Finished
I finally read a book!!
The slump has been so real this year. But I finally finished my first physical book in over a month. Sadly it was a bit of a flop.
More Than Words by Jill Santopolo – ⭐️⭐️.5
I’m calling it now – this will make my most disappointing books of 2019 list. I loved Santopolo’s previous book, The Light We Lost. So I was massively hyped for her next release. However I did not enjoy this. The love triangle was fine, but I felt none of it. I didn’t connect with a single character and on top of that there was sex shaming, controlling behavior, and insta-love. I will say, I still enjoyed Santopolo’s writing. But the story itself was a big mess for me. My full review will be coming later this week!
Currently Reading
This week is the ReReadathon! I posted my full readathon TBR last week so if you want to see what else I have planned, check that post out 🙂
This Lullaby by Sarah Dessen
I’m starting this readathon with this for the Childhood Favorite challenge. I’m not going to lie, I’m pretty terrified to reread this. I have so many good memories attached to this book. It was my favorite book through all of high school and Dessen was my favorite author. But I have a gut feeling I’m not going to connect with the story the same way at 29. But I’m trying to keep an open mind!
What’s Next
Next week is the Buzzword readathon! My dedicated TBR post will be coming at the end of this week so watch for that! I’m so excited for another round of the readathon!
What are your reading plans this week? Are you participating in the ReReadathon with us??
♥♥♥♥
I am participating in the Rereadathon. I’m currently listening to the audiobook for Illuminae which is my first book for this readathon and I’m already over halfway through it.

Yay! So glad you’re participating!! That is such a good readathon book! I flew through that when I read it last year. Hope you have a good readathon! ❤️❤️

Yeah I flew through them when I first read them. I just finished Illuminae and now unfortunately Scribd has mad the other 2 books unavailable until the 21st so I have to figure out something else I want to reread.

Just wondering what you thought of This Lullaby as an adult. I reread most of my favorites of Sara Dessen’s last year (I was 24) and I felt that it still holds up. This Lullaby was my first Sara Dessen book and I read it when I was about 13 or 14. I still think it’s one of my favorites, I just love Dexter so much.

I technically still haven’t finished it… But I’m actually really enjoying it! In fact, I added her new book to my TBR because I love it so much! Her books are perfect to read between heavier things. Once I catch up on my arcs for April, I plan to finish this though!

I haven’t really read any of her newer books. I think the last book of hers that I read that was new at the time was Along for the Ride. I should probably check some of the newer ones out though.
