Summerathon TBR

It’s time for my final readathon for June!

RestOfTheStory

This readathon is created and hosted by some of my favorite bookish people: Mel from meltotheany, Amy from A Court Of Crowns And Quills, Heather from Bookables, Amiee from Aimee Reads, and Jenn from Pinot and Pages.

This a laid back, summer themed readathon running from June 21st – 27th. There are 6 challenges – 5 reading prompts & 1 other challenge.

Here’s what I plan to read!

1. Beachy Read: The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren (Physical)

Unhoneymooners

I’ve been waiting for the perfect time to pick this up and this is finally it! I’ve heard nothing but praise for this and I’m so excited to dive in. This follows enemies who have to take their best friends’ honeymoon to Hawaii. I love enemies to lovers romances!

2. Sunrise Colors on the Cover: Shatter the Sky (Shatter the Sky #1) by Rebecca Kim Wells (E-arc)

ShatterTheSky

This is one of the many Netgalley arcs I have open. This is a YA fantasy about a girl who goes to train with the dragon master in order to save her girlfriend after she was abducted. I’m here for some badass, queer, fantasy. I’m hopeful I will love this!

3. Road Trip/Traveling or Summer Vacation: Girls on the Verge by Sharon Biggs Waller (Physical/Library)

GirlsOnTheVerge

Ever since Chelsea from ChelseaDollingReads hyped this on her channel, I’ve been trying to fit it into my TBR. This is about 2 young woman who are nearly strangers. Together they travel hundreds of miles to the “nearest” abortion clinic. This book sounds so timely, so hard-hitting, and so important.

4. Set in Summer: Rest of the Story by Sarah Dessen (Physical)

RestOfTheStory

I haven’t read a Sarah Dessen book since I was a teen and my body is ready. This is about a teenage girl who goes to spend the summer with her maternal grandmother. There she learns secrets about her mother’s family she never knew. And I’m assuming falls in love. Because Dessen.

5. Food on the Cover: With the Fire on High by Elizabeth Acevedo (Audio/Hoopla)

This book was absolutely not on my radar. The premise didn’t grab my attention at all. But I haven’t seen a single person give this less than 5 stars… So now I’m intrigued. Plus it’s available on Hoopla and I need an audiobook for the week! This is about a teenage mother who wants to become a chef.

6. Drink Your Favorite Summery Drink While Reading

If you’re participating, what is on your TBR??
