Romanceathon Wrap Up

I participated in a stupid number of readathons in June. But this is the only one I actually read a lot for (thanks to being sick). So here’s what I finished!

YoudBeMine

1. Forbidden Romance: On the Island by Tracey Garvis Graves ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

OnTheIsland.png

This was the buddy read for the readathon and I was totally surprised by how much I enjoyed it! This is an age gap romance about 2 people stranded on a deserted island together in the Maldives. This one definitely pulled at the heart strings and was my favorite of the week.

2. New Adult: On the Way to You by Kandi Steiner ⭐️⭐️⭐️

OnTheWayToYou

I love Kandi Steiner’s books but this one wasn’t my favorite. This follows 2 strangers who take a road trip for Mobile, Alabama to Seattle, Washington together. This was really sweet but definitely hit on some dark topics (mainly depression and suicide).

3. Pink of Cover & 4. Released in 2019: My Life in Shambles by Karina Halle ⭐️⭐️.5

MyLifeInShambles

This is one of my favorite covers of all time… unfortunately is was my least favorite book of the week. It was a big flop for me. This follows a woman who is recently down on her luck and decides to travel to Ireland with her 2 sisters for New Years. There she meets a professional rugby player who is facing his own demons. He asks her to go back to his hometown and pretend to be his fiancé. It was cute but there were a few things I just couldn’t get onboard with… I’ll talk about it more in my review early next month!

5. Man on Cover: Irresistible by Melanie Harlow ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Irresistible

I read book 2 in this series a couple months back and actually enjoyed this one more! This follows a large family who owns Colverleigh Farms. This is a romance between the youngest daughter and CFO of the family farm. This was cute and steamy, but nothing mind blowing.

6. LGBT+: We Contain Multitudes by Sarah Henstra ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

ContainMultitudes

I was so excited for this YA, romance. This is a M/M romance between 2 teens who become pen pals as an English assignment. But their relationship quickly grows beyond school. This book was so difficult to read. It covers so many difficult but important topics. If you’re interested in this, please, please check for content/trigger warnings. I was mentally spent after this and went into a 2 day reading slump afterward.

7. Read 7 Books

Not quite haha.
