Summer is in full swing! Here are some books I think would be perfect for the beach!
Bonus: none of these feature a naked/shirtless man so feel free to wield these physical copies with no shame! But don’t let these cutesy covers fool you, some of these are 🔥🔥
1. On the Island by Tracey Garvis Graves ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This entire book takes place on a deserted island. So it’s an obvious choice! This book is a little cheesy but overall it was such a quick, fun read that I absolutely devoured.
2. A Pizza My Heart by Teagan Hunter ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This book takes place in a vacation town so the setting alone makes it a perfect summer beach read. Plus this book is so adorable, steamy, and laugh out loud funny that you won’t be able to put it down.
3. On the Rocks by Kandi Steiner ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This entire book just feels like a southern summer. It’s a heartfelt, new adult romance that I absolutely loved and highly recommend. If you haven’t checked out Steiner’s books yet, now is the perfect time!
4. Fix Her Up (Hot & Hammered #1) by Tessa Bailey ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Don’t let this adorable cover fool you, this book is filthy – in the best way possible! It is one of my new favorite brother’s best friend romances.
5. Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is one of my new favorite books of all time. This is a new adult M/M romance. It’s on the longer end, but this book reads so quickly! It’s such a fun, swoony read with hilarious banter.
This is another book that takes place on the beach during summer. This is a middle grade about a young girl who befriends the new girl in town. This story is really sweet and summery. And it’s a super quick read – perfect for a beach afternoon!
7. Something Like Gravity by Amber Smith ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Another book that takes place during summer vacation! This one doesn’t take place anywhere near the beach but it definitely has summery vibes. This is YA coming of age story and one of my favorite reads of the year.
8. Maybe in Another Life by Taylor Jenkins Reid ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This a romance by my all-time favorite author. This follows the main character down 2 different timelines/realities. It’s a really sweet, captivating romance about whether or not soulmates are real.
9. Love, Life, & the List by Kasie West ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Really any of Kasie West’s books could work here. Her books always have serious beachy vibes. This one is a friends to lovers romance that takes place during summer vacation. Bonus, it’s a book you could definitely read in single sitting!
10. The Last House Guest by Meghan Miranda ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Truth be told, this is the book I enjoyed the least on this list. However, it is still a solid thriller and gave me lots of beach vibes! This takes place in a vacation town right on the beach.
