OMG!! Today is my 1 year anniversary of this blog ♥♥♥♥
Excuse me while I get sappy for a moment.
I didn’t know what to expect when I started writing posts last October. I wanted a place to review books and participate in the community so I just went for it. And I’m so glad I did because I absolutely love interacting with you all every day ♥
In the last 365 days I’ve only missed 89 days of posting… which is insane! Considering a large chunk of that came this summer when I took a 6 week break from social media. I love talking books and am just so dang grateful to be a part of the bookish community.
I decided as a small anniversary celebration to share my favorite books of the last 365 days. I’ve talked about a lot of these in the past. But they’re books that have stuck with me and I highly recommend!
Disclaimer: Weirdly enough, not all of these are 5 stars. Some of these I gave 4 stars but they have stuck with me in a way other books haven’t. I’m not going to go back and change my rating, but they most likely deserve 5 stars for their lasting impact.
1. Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston
Why I Loved It: This romance had everything I love – enemies to lovers, witty banter, and lots and lots of steaminess.
2. All Your Perfects by Colleen Hoover
Why I Loved It: This book was the first time I felt seen by a book.
3. Let’s Get Textual (Text #1) by Teagan Hunter
Why I Loved It: This was when I discovered by love for witty banter and low-drama romances.
4. Scream All Night by Derek Milman
Why I Loved It: This book was so. dang. funny. And this has one of my favorite settings of all time.
5. The Ten Thousand Doors of January by Alix E. Harrow
Why I Loved It: I will never recover from the gorgeous writing of this book.
6. Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover
Why I Loved It: This book swept me away. I literally laid in bed, in the dark, with my headphones in because I couldn’t put this down.
7. Girls With Sharp Sticks (Girls With Sharp Sticks #1) by Suzanne Young
Why I Loved It: This was my first ever arc! It’s a feminist, light sci-fi that holds a special place in my heart.
8. The Broken Girls by Simone St. James
Why I Loved It: This book contains one of the most powerful female friendships I’ve ever read.
9. Lost in Me (Here and Now #1) by Lexi Ryan
Why I Loved It: This entire series was like an addicting soap opera I still want more of.
10. What He Doesn’t Know Duet by Kandi Steiner
Why I Loved It: This is the most perfect love triangle story ever. I literally sat on my kitchen floor listening to this audiobook crying.
What most of these books have in common is that I got 100% lost in them. I couldn’t put these books down and skittered all adulating to read them. So if you’re looking for a book to get lost in, or break a slump, check one of these out!
Also thanks so much for hanging out with me here! Cheers to another year!
