Spooky season is well under way! And that means all the Halloween-esque movies! But I actually hate scary movies… I’m a huge chicken and jump scares, or the promise of them, make me insanely anxious. So I spend the season watching tons of non-spooky movies. These are some of my favorites!

This was one of my first posts last year, but I decided it was safe to redo. So all of my original choices are here as well as 5 additional movies I love!

1. Hocus Pocus

This is the epitome of Halloween for a lot of us. I can’t go a year without watching this at least 3 or 4 times.

2. Practical Magic

This is always my kick-off to spooky season movie! I watch it every year on October 1st after decorating the house for Halloween. And it’s one of my favorite fall traditions.

3. The Nightmare Before Christmas

I know there is a ever-going argument about whether this is Christmas or Halloween. But I will die on the hill that this is a Halloween movie!

4. The Addams Family

I absolutely loved both movies in this series. Honestly it’s a travesty only 2 were made.

5. Halloweentown

I own and watch this entire franchise every year. But the first 2 are by far the best! These movies are just so perfectly cheesy and quintessential Halloween.

6. It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown

Is this a movie? A show? I’m going with it! This is what I watch every year on Halloween before going to bed. It’s so nostalgic for me.

7. Hotel Transylvania

This movie is so dang cute! I absolutely love both movies I’ve watched and apparently there is a 3rd! So hopefully that one is just as adorable.

8. The Corpse Bride

Tim Burton was born to make Halloween movies. This one is another perfect, atmospheric watch for the season.

9. The Haunted Mansion

Another classic! I just love the house and all the haunted vibes of this.

10. Beetlejuice

I love the campiness and humor of this movie!
