2019 Releases: November – December

Holy cow how is 2019 almost over?! These are the final releases of 2019 😱

Mooncakes

The end of the year is significantly slower release-wise than the rest of the year. So this list is much shorter than the last one! And almost everything on my radar for November comes out the very first Tuesday.

November

November 5th

1. The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern

This is one of my most anticipated releases of the entire year. I know very little about this because I want to just let this author sweep me away. I know it’s a book about books, a love story, and involves a secret world.

2. Call Down the Hawk (Dreamer Trilogy #1) by Maggie Stiefvater

FINALLY!! This is a spin-off series of The Raven Cycle which is one of my favorite series of all time. This follows Ronan and delves into his family’s power/history.

3. The Family Upstairs by Lisa Jewell

I won’t lie I haven’t read anything by Lisa Jewell before but I know they are a very beloved author. This follows a woman who moves into an abandoned mansion where a brutal murder happened 25 years ago.

4. Girls of Storm and Shadow (Girls of Paper and Fire #2) by Natasha Ngan

This is the sequel to Girls of Paper and Fire which I absolutely adored. I can’t go into the plot of this because it spoils book 1. But this is a YA fantasy about world where there are multiple casts and a girl is taken from her family to become a concubine to the demon king.

5. Winterwood by Shea Ernshaw

This is a YA romantic, fantasy about a witch and mysterious boy and haunted woods.

6. The Bromance Book Club  by Lyssa Kay Adams

This is an adult romance that follows a man who’s marriage is struggling. To spice up their love life, he joins a romance book club.

7. The How & the Why by Cynthia Hand

This is a YA contemporary that follows a girl trying to learn about her birth parents. This apparently has alternating chapters in letter format which I absolutely ADORE.

8. Get a Life, Chloe Brown (The Brown Sisters #1) by Talia Hibbert

This is an adult romance following a woman with a chronic illness who creates a “bucket list” to help her get a life. I loved the last Talia Hibbert book I read and I’ve heard amazing early reviews of this.

November 12th

1. Color Outside the Lines by Sangu Mandanna

This is a YA anthology about interracial and LGBTQ+ relationships. Which sounds like the perfect anthology ever.

2. All-American Muslim Girl by Nadine Jolie Courtney

This is about popular girl who hasn’t told her jock boyfriend, or anyone, that her family is Muslim. This book sounds so powerful and important.

3. Not the Girl You Marry by Andie J. Christopher

I was SO hyped for this book when it was announced. This is a gender bent How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. Unfortunately I haven’t heard great reviews…

4. Queen of the Conquered by Karen Callender

A Caribbean inspired adult fantasy following a woman who can control minds. That is literally all I know but I’m so sold.

November 19th

1. Blood Heir (Blood Heir #1) by Amelie Wen Zhao

There has been SO MUCH controversy surrounding this book this year. Because of that alone, my attention has been peaked. This is an epic YA fantasy about a princess and con man and all the typical YA fantasy things that aren’t normally my thing. But I need to know what all the hubbub was about.

2. ITUE by L.J. Shen

There is no cover and no synopsis for this book. But I love L.J. Shen and she has been hyping this book in her author group from months. My hype is real.

December

This month is even slower than November. But here’s a couple exciting releases!

December 3rd

1. A Madness of Sunshine by Nalini Singh

This is another popular author I’ve somehow been sleeping on. This is a detective mystery following a young women who returns home to her quiet New Zealand town when a woman goes missing.

2. Would Like to Meet by Rachel Winters

This is an adult romance about a cynical screenwriting assistant who helps a writer get inspiration by acting out popular meet-cutes. This sounds so adorable and charming.

3. Reverie by Ryan La Sala

This book has been receiving so much hype!! It’s a YA fantasy about drag queen sorcerers. Need I say more?

December 10th

1. Regretting You by Colleen Hoover

I will read anything Colleen Hoover releases regardless of the synopsis. This follows and teenage daughter and mother who’s relationship is struggling. When their father/husband is involved in a tragic accident everything crumbles. In usual Hoover fashion I’m expecting to sufficiently broken by this.

2. The Dead Girls Club by Damien Angelica Walters

This is a paranormal, spooky thriller about a group of girls who become obsessed with a spirit until one of them dies. Now 30 years later, someone has is threatening to reveal what really happened.

December 30th

1. Good Girls Lie by J.T. Ellison

This is a YA thriller about the dark secrets at a prestigious prep school in Virginia. Boarding school settings are my absolute favorite and I’m always seeking out good ones.

2. Husband Material by Emily Belden

This adult romance follows a widowed woman who is working hard to move forward with her life. She’s succeed relatively well until 5 years later, her husband’s ashes mysteriously appear on her door. Now she has to face her mother in law and her husband’s best friend. This has pretty lukewarm reviews but I’m still excited for it.

3. The Wives by Tarryn Fisher

Another extremely popular author I’ve never read (a theme these months I think). This follows a group of women who all share the same husband but don’t know any details about the other women. Until one day they meet and strike up a friendship – and they discover some dark secrets about the man they all thought they knew.

That’s it! I can’t believe 2019 is coming to an end. But I’m really looking forward to all the AMAZING 2020 releases coming!
