2020 Releases: March – April

So many amazing books are releasing these months!!

Processed with VSCO with s1 preset

March is one of the biggest release months of the year IMO! I’ve literally been saving my book budget (my February haul is uncharacteristically small!) for this 😅 Because March 3rd will make me go broke.

March

EVERYTHING is releasing March 3rd. Save your pennies ya’ll ♥

March 3rd

1. House of Earth and Blood (Crescent City #1) by Sarah J. Maas

This is my most anticipated release of the year! I’m so excited to check out Maas’ first foray into adult fantasy. I’m so ready for this fantasy romance!

2. The Kingdom of Back by Marie Lu

This is a new YA fantasy by a very well loved author. This follows the sister of Mozart and her struggle to find the recognition her brother is receiving. Then one day a mysterious strangers makes her an offer she cannot refuse. *Dun, dun, dun!*

3. The Two Lives of Lydia Bird by Josie Sliver

This is an adult contemporary romance about a woman who tragically loses her husband. As she tries to move on with her life, she discovers a reality where her husband is still alive. And she must chose between the two lives. This really reminds me of Maybe in Another Life by TJR and I’m so ready for it!

4. Eight Perfect Murders by Peter Swanson

I swear this book has like a dozen different titles and covers. But this is a thriller following a man who wrote an article about the 8 most famous murders in literature. And now someone is replicating the murders.

5. Only Mostly Devastated by Sophie Gonzales

This is a queer retelling of Grease. Enough said ❤️

6. Hearts, Heroes, and Heath Hall by Kasie West

Another book with a multiple titles… I honestly have no idea what this will be releasing as (it’s also called Moment of Truth). This is the latest YA contemporary romance from Kasie West. I’m sure this will be light, fluffy, and absolutely adorable.

7. The Vanishing Deep by Astrid Scholte

This is a YA science fiction novel about sisters who live on world of water. Tempe wants to bring her sister back from the dead for 1 day to learn the truth about the crime she supposedly committed. But her sister has other plans for her 1 day back on the planet.

8. You Are Not Alone by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen

This is the latest thriller by the author duo and it was an early release BOTM pick for February! The synopsis is super vague but it sounds like we’re following a woman who is obsessed and wants to take over the life of someone else.

9. The June Boys by Courtney Stevens

This is a YA thriller about a serial kidnapper who takes 3 boys every year on the same date and returns them exactly 13 months later unharmed. But this year, one boy shows up dead.

10. Docile by K.M. Szpara

This is an adult science fiction that I hear is pretty graphic and sexual. This is a commentary on the debt crisis and takes place in a world where you can sell yourself to pay for our family’s debt.

11. Sea of Lost Girls by Carol Goodman

This is an adult thriller that takes place at a prestigious boarding school (one of my favorite settings!) It follows a teacher with a mysterious dark past that is brought back to the surface when her son’s girlfriend is found dead.

12. When We Were Magic by Sarah Gailey

This is a queer, YA fantasy about a group of young woman with magical powers. The tagline for this is:

Keeping your magic a secret is hard. Being in love with your best friend is harder.

Sold.

March 10th

1. Bone Crier’s Moon by Kathryn Purdie

This is a YA fantasy about a matriarchal family that is tasked with keeping the dead away from the living at the cost of their one true love. But Sabine doesn’t want to be a Bone Crier or to kill the boy she is destined to love.

2. In Five Years by Rebecca Serle

This is an adult romance following a woman who has it all – an amazing job opportunity, a new fiancé, and a life in New York. But she has a dream of herself waking up, 5 years in the future, in an apartment she doesn’t recognize next to a man that isn’t her fiancé. The, just over 4 years later, she meets the man from her dream.

3. My Dark Vanessa by Kate Elizabeth Russell

One of my most anticipated releases of the year! This sounds like an intense thriller about a relationship between a teenage woman and her teacher. I don’t know much about this synopsis, because I want to go in as unbiased as possible. I’m so ready.

4. Undercover Bromance by Lyssa Kay Adams

Book 2 in the Bromance Book Club series! This is a really fun adult rom-com series about a group of men in Nashville that read romance books to help them improve their relationships or dating life. This one in particular is about the group reading a romantic suspense novel!

5. The Deep by Alma Katsu

This is has gotten some pretty mixed reviews, but the synopsis still has me really intrigued. This is essentially an alternate history, paranormal take on the Titanic & Britannic.

6. A Phoenix First Must Burn by Patrice Caldwell

This is an anthology exploring “the Black experience through fantasy, science fiction, and magic”. Also this cover is stunning.

March 17th

1. Darling Rose Gold by Stephanie Wrobel

I’ve been anticipating the new adult thriller for months! This follows a young woman who was out to seek revenge on the mother than lied to and abused her for years.

2. All Your Twisted Secrets by Diana Urban

This book seems like The Breakfast Club meets Clue. A group of teens are invited to a dinner where they are told they need to chose someone among them to die.

3. The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune

I am obsessed with this cover. I believe this is a fantasy about 2 men, a romance, and an orphanage for magical children. The tagline is “A magical island. A dangerous task. A burning secret.”

March 24th

1. The Honey-Don’t List by Christina Lauren

The latest by this romance duo! This rom-com follows the assistants to a famous couple trying to keep their relationships struggles out of the spot light. I’ve already seen some mixed things, but I’m still hopeful!

2. The City We Became by N.K. Jemisin

This is an adult fantasy about sentient New York City and an evil set to destroy it.

This is a fake dating, office romance between a woman who works at the same law firm as her ex-fiancé and the office playboy.
