Why not tack on one more readathon to close out April!

I’m participating in the yearly Romanceopoly challenge and Jess from Peace Love Books and the ladies from Under the Covers are hosting the first readathon of the year!

This readathon runs from April 27 – May 3 and the purpose to try and catch up on Romanceopoly challenges.

Romanceopoly and this readathon are little tricky to explain without going into a lot of detail, so definitely check out their videos & website for all the details.

But the gist of it is: there are 7 challenges and the goal is to try and meet the readathon challenges using the prompts from the spaces you land on.

For my challenge, I’m drawing tiles out at random rather than rolling a die or moving space by space around the board. It just works the best for me.

So I drew 7 Romanceopoly cards (there are printables available on the website) and picked books that would also fit 1 of the 7 readathon prompts. It took a little planning but I’m really excited about this TBR!

The TBR

1. Prompt – Fang Alley: PNR with a vampire or shifter H/h
Challenge – Already on Shelf/TBR

Book – Vision of Heat (Psy-Changeling) by Nalini Singh

So the color for the space is orange and there’s some orange on here so I’m counting it. I’m so excited to get back to this series. I read book 1 earlier this month and I’m completely obsessed. I have no idea who this book follows, I’m excited to just dive in blind.

Book: Desperate Measures (Wicked Villains #1) by Katee Robert

I’ve seen this book everywhere recently! So many romance readers have been raving about this book/series so I’ve been desperate to fit it in to a TBR. This is a super smutty Jasmine and Jafar romance so I’m beyond excited to get to this.

3. Library: Free Choice
Challenge: Same Color as Square You Landed On
Book: Dirty Reckless Love (Boys of Jackson Harbor #3) by Lexi Ryan

I just got the rest of the books in this series in the mail and I’m so ready to binge it! Lexi Ryan is one of my favorite indie romance authors and this series is fantastic. I actually have no idea which of the Jackson brothers this follows, but I’m ready for it.

4. Courtship Row: Historical Fiction where the H/h is a spy or soldier
Challenge: New to You Author or Series
Book: The Duchess Deal (Girl Meets Duke #1) by Tessa Dare

This book has been on my TBR forever and I finally bought physical copies of the 3 released books in this series. This will be my first Tessa Dare book and I’ve heard nothing but amazing things so I have high hopes. I don’t know much about this synopsis, but I know the Hero is a duke who just returned from war, so it definitely fits this prompt.

5. Past Eaves: Historical Fiction
Challenge: Longest Title
Book: To Have and To Hoax by Martha Waters

So this title isn’t long by any means… but most of my historical romances had pretty short titles. I had one other with 5 words, but I’m really excited about this one (and technically I have an ARC copy that I never got to….). This is a second chance romance between a married couple who isn’t getting along and they start playing pranks to get the others attention. This sounds like such a fun story and I can’t wait to dive in.

6. Action Avenue: Urban Fantasy with a kick ass heroine on the cover
Challenge: Animal on Cover
Book: Magic Bites (Kate Daniels #1) by Ilona Andrews

I was originally hoping to read one of the Guild Hunter books for this prompt, but sadly the book I’m on has a male hero on the cover. But that gives me the perfect excuse to start a new fantasy romance series! I’ve heard nothing but rave things about this author and series. I only own this first book though so this might prompt another massive series haul….

7. Coffee Shop: Food or Drink on the cover or in the title
Challenge: Standalone
Book: Would Like to Meet by Rachel Winters

This book has been on my shelf for way too long. I actually got an arc of this a long while back and I started this right when it was released but put it down and haven’t picked it back up. This is a rom-com about a woman who is trying to prove to a writer that romance is real by reenacting popular meet-cute tropes.

Okay so those are the books I’m hoping to read throughout the week! And any books I don’t get to, I’ll just put those corresponding prompt cards back into my jar for my next pick.
