Weekly Tarot Card Book Recommendations

Onto Round 6! ♥

WhatHeDoesntKnow

The Concept

I totally got this idea from Ariel Bissett! So if you haven’t seen her video, definitely go check it out.

This is a 3 card spread and you can play along one of two ways:

  1. Chose one of the 3 cards that speaks to you. Don’t over think it, just chose which ever one your gut is telling you to.
  2. View this as virtual weekly or 3 card spread! A 3 card spread can be read many ways but the most common interpretations are:
    • Past, Present, Future
    • Mind, Body, Spirit
    • You, Me, Us
    • Stop, Start, Continue

The Spread

Now is the time to pick a card! I’ll read the cards from Left to Right. So feel free to skip to the card you pick or read them all!

Card 1: The Past

Card1

The first card is 3 of Wands

Meaning

This card is all about envisioning the future! Support from your family and friends has instilled a sense of self, values, and morals. But it’s time to rely on yourself for guidance. This card is about future planning, freedom, adventure, travel, and growth. Have self-confidence, spread your wings, and experience life!

Recommendation

For this card I recommend:

Wrong Kind of Love (The Boys of Jackson Harbor #1) by Lexi Ryan

WrongKindOfLove

I chose this book because this book begins with the heroine, Nic, leaving behind her family and the only life she’s ever known. She lands in Michigan in an attempt to start a new life after being hurt by her ex-fiancé and twin sister on the day of her wedding. There she meets Ethan, a single father and her new boss. The two of them come together to create a new life for themselves.

This is a really fun and steamy, “forbidden” romance as Nic turns out to be Ethan’s new live in nanny. I absolutely loved this romance and watching Nic and Ethan learn to trust both themselves and each other.

Card 2: The Present

Card2

The second card is 5 of Swords

Meaning

This is a card of warning! It symbolizes self-destruction, selfishness, hostility, and a desire for power. You may be lured into something you know you should avoid. It may indicate a serious conflict or a time of extreme stress.

Recommendation

This one was a little tricky because I didn’t want to choose anything too dark for this card – especially during this time. So instead I went with a book/series about a woman self-sabotaging and dealing with a difficult internal conflict.

What He Doesn’t Know (What He Doesn’t Know Duet #1) by Kandi Steiner

WhatHeDoesntKnow

This duet is hands down the best love triangle I’ve ever read. It follows a married couple who have been struggling for years. They’re disconnected and cold and the heroine feels trapped. When a man from her past re-enters her life, she’s torn between the man that was her first love, and the man she promised forever with. These characters make lots of missteps while they deal with warring feelings. It’s a heart wrenching story that had me questioning the outcome until the very end!

Card 3: The Future

Card3

The final card is Wheel of Fortune

The Meaning

This card symbolizes Destiny or Fate. This is the card of karma, good luck, and the cycle of life. Change is heading your way. While not all change is easy, the universe is working on your side.

Recommendation

I went with a pretty literal interpretation for this one –

Sawkill Girls by Claire Legrand

SawkillGirls

This is a YA low fantasy/horror story that I immediately fell in love with. In this story, the island of Sawkill is sentient and is literally on the main character’s side. A demon has infected the island and has been stealing and murdering young woman. Now the island enlists the help of 3 teens to fight back. This book is feminist, queer, and down-right creepy at times. And I loved every single page.

If you’re looking for something with powerful women and spooky vibes, definitely pick this one up!

That’s it for this weeks recommendations!
