Top Ten Tuesday: Books Featuring Travel/Vacations

It’s summer and any other year that would mean it’s time for travel. Since we can’t go on actual vacations this year, here are some books to take you away ✈️

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018.

1. Heartstopper Vol 3 by Alice Oseman

In this volume, Nick and Charlie travel to Paris on a school trip. It’s an absolutely adorable graphic novel that’s guaranteed to make you swoon.

2. The Tourist Attraction

This rom-com has it all: an Alaskan setting, an adorable dog, and grumpy but big-hearted hero.

3. Escaping from Houdini (Stalking Jack the Ripper #3) by Kerri Maniscalco

This sequel takes place on a ship traveling from Europe to America. It’s full of travel, a deadly carnival, and lots of secrets.

4. The Simple Wild (Wild #1) by K.A. Tucker

This is an adult romance that follows a city girl who travels to the Alaskan wilderness to reconnect with her dying father. There’s something so magical about Alaskan settings!

5. The Sun Down Motel by Simone St. James

This thriller opens up with the main character traveling across the US to discover what really happened to her aunt that disappeared years earlier. It also features a terrifying motel I hope no one ever has to stay in!

6. Royals series by Rachel Hawkins

Both books in this series follow heroines who travel from the US to England. These YA contemporaries are absolutely adorable and criminally underrated!

7. On the Way to You by Kandi Steiner

A road trip romance for the ages! This follows two strangers who meet at a diner and agree to travel to Seattle together. This book is a tear jerker so have your tissues ready!

8. My Life in Shambles by Karina Halle

This is fake dating romance that follows a woman who’s life has fallen apart. So in an effort to turn things around, she takes a trip to Ireland with her sisters. There she meets a Rugby player and man of her dreams.

9. Cassidy Blake series by Victoria Schwab

This middle grade paranormal series follows the Blake family as they travel the world filming a documentary on the world’s most haunted places.

10. A Heart in a Body in the World by Deb Caletti

Definitely a much different feel than the other books on this list! This heartbreaking YA contemporary follows a teen girl as she runs across the country from Seattle to DC. Major trigger warnings for this book so definitely check out some reviews before diving into this one!
