Tome Topple wrapped up yesterday – here’s what I was able to complete!

I didn’t get quite as much read as I was hoping to during this readathon. But I’m excited that I finally tackled some of the bigger books on my TBR I’ve been avoiding!
Here’s what I read!
1. City of Brass (The Daevabad Trilogy #1) by S.A. Chakraborty ⭐⭐⭐⭐

This was the first book I read for the readathon! I actually tried reading this last year and only managed to get about 20 pages in before I set it aside, deciding it wasn’t for me.
I don’t know what the heck I was thinking…
This time I around I was hooked from the very beginning.
I absolutely love this epic fantasy and that ending took me for a ride! I flew through the last 100 pages or so because I just couldn’t put this down. I can’t wait to binge the rest of this series now!
2. From Blood and Ash (Blood and Ash #1) by Jennifer L. Armentrout

I’m just over halfway through this and actually plan to finish it today (the day after the end of Tome Topple).
I have… mixed feelings so far. The beginning of this book is a major drag. At the 250 page mark I was bored outta my mind because all we had done up to that point is follow the main character as she wanders around the palace. But I went to Goodreads and the consensus seems to be that the first half of this book is quite boring. But that once you hit the halfway point, it really picks up.
I just hit some of the action so hopefully it carries through to the end!
Let me know if you participated in Tome Topple and what books you were able to complete!
