Tarot Cards Pick You Book Recommendation!

Happy Monday! Time to kick off the week with some new recommendations ♥

NOTE: I have links to places you can purchase these books – these are NOT affiliate links! While I do receive ALC copies from Libro.fm, I do not receive anything if you purchase from them.

However, if you would like to start an Libro.fm account, you can use my referral link for 1 free audiobook!

The Concept

I originally got this idea from Ariel Bissett! So if you haven’t seen her video, definitely head over to her channel.

This is a 3 card spread and you can play along one of two ways:

  1. Chose one of the 3 cards that speaks to you. Don’t over think it, just chose which ever one your gut is telling you to.
  2. View this as virtual weekly or 3 card spread! A 3 card spread can be read many ways but the most common interpretations are:
    • Past, Present, Future
    • Mind, Body, Spirit
    • You, Me, Us
    • Stop, Start, Continue

UPDATES: One of the things I’m changing this year is I’ll be including some video/story footage over on my Instagram. So if you want to watch that or pick a card over video, the story will be saved to a highlight all week ❤️

The Spread

Now is the time to pick a card! I’ll read the cards from Left to Right. So feel free to skip to the card you pick or read them all!

Recommendation

This is recommendation is a little on the sad side for this card, but I couldn’t resist recommending it!

The Lost Apothecary by Sarah Penner

Purchase Physical Copy
Purchase Audio Copy

This is a dual timeline historical fiction/mystery.

The first timeline takes place in 1790s London and follows a woman running an apothecary shop dedicated to helping women rid themselves of the abusive men in their lives.

The second follows a woman in present day who is in London attempting to work through some marital troubles. While she is in London, she rediscovers her love for history and exploring the lives of those who lived before her. All while investing what happened to that long ago apothecary.

This book beautifully explores feminism, independence, and the impact the past has on the preset.

Card 2: ‘The Present’

The second card is: 5 OF PENTACLES

This card is a sign of sadness, extreme worry, and illness. You may be feeling like the world has turned against you. Times may be hard but you are not in this alone. Don’t be afraid to reach out and ask for help if you need it. And remember that nothing lasts forever, these hard times will pass.

Recommendation

Landon & Shay by Brittainy C. Cherry

If you in the need for a good cry – look not further than this beautifully heart-wrenching contemporary romance from Brittainy C. Cherry.

This story is told in two parts. This first book follows Landon and Shay when they are seniors in high school. They’re both struggling through personal obstacles and turn to each other for comfort. And a bet – that Landon can make Shay fall in love with him.

But as the game becomes more real than either of them bargained for, their personal demons threaten to destroy everything they’ve developed.

Major trigger warning for depression, abuse, and suicide!

Card 3: ‘The Future’

The final card is: 9 OF PENTACLES

It’s time to enjoy the results of your labor! This card is a sign of happiness, healthy, and newfound stability. Indulge and pamper yourself! You have worked hard, now it’s time to enjoy the contentment that hard work has brought you.

Recommendation

I actually really struggled to find a book that accurately fit this! Since most books are about the struggle or conflict, not the happy ending. But I decided to go with –

Queen Move by Kennedy Ryan

Purchase Physical Copy
Purchase Audio Copy

This amazing adult romance follows a woman who has worked really hard to advance in her career and start her own company. But when she reconnects with the man she’s loved since childhood, they may finally have their chance for a happily ever after.

Kimba is a really strong, independent heroine who is ready for what comes next in her life. She’s worked really hard to make it on her own and she’s not afraid to bask in her achievements.

If you want a sexy romance with amazing main characters, definitely check out this book by Kennedy Ryan!

  1. I really love the concept of the post, and though I haven’t read any of the books. I love that you include the meanings for each of the cards. (Since I’m learning to how to use Tarot cards at the moment).
