Happy Monday! Time to kick off the week with some new recommendations ♥
NOTE: I have links to places you can purchase these books – these are NOT affiliate links! While I do receive ALC copies from Libro.fm, I do not receive anything if you purchase from them.
However, if you would like to start an Libro.fm account, you can use my referral link for 1 free audiobook!
The Concept
I originally got this idea from Ariel Bissett! So if you haven’t seen her video, definitely head over to her channel.
This is a 3 card spread and you can play along one of two ways:
- Chose one of the 3 cards that speaks to you. Don’t over think it, just chose which ever one your gut is telling you to.
- View this as virtual weekly or 3 card spread! A 3 card spread can be read many ways but the most common interpretations are:
- Past, Present, Future
- Mind, Body, Spirit
- You, Me, Us
- Stop, Start, Continue
UPDATES: One of the things I’m changing this year is I’ll be including some video/story footage over on my Instagram. So if you want to watch that or pick a card over video, the story will be saved to a highlight all week ❤️
The Spread
Now is the time to pick a card! I’ll read the cards from Left to Right. So feel free to skip to the card you pick or read them all!

Card 1: ‘The Past’
The first card is: 6 OF WANDS
This a card of victory and rising up against the odds. It represents triumph, achievement, and recognition. There have been countless obstacles in your way but keeping looking ahead – success and stability are finally in sight.
Recommendation
Covenant series by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Okay this recommendation is a little out there.. This card could really fit almost any fantasy story and it encompasses the hero’s journey.
But I wanted to go with something that I don’t see recommended to often (although if you’re on my page you see JLA all the dang time. sorry).
This is an older YA fantasy series following the descendants of Greek gods. The main character returns to the society dedicated to training these descendants after the death of her mother. But things aren’t quite what she remembered and she finds herself thrust into situations she never even imagined.
There are so many twists, turns, and countless roadblocks along the way. You won’t be able to put this series down until the very end.
Card 2: ‘The Present’
The second card is: SON (KNIGHT) OF CUPS
The son of cups is artistic and intuitive. It’s full of gentleness, affection, and warmth. This card may be a call to action: now if the time follow your heart.
Recommendation
The Intimacy Experiment by Rosie Danan

Okay I’m sorry if you’re already sick of me raving about this book but I just couldn’t help but recommend this for this card.
The heroine in this adult romance fits this card to perfection. He is warm, gentle, and has recently followed his heart to become a rabbi.
This follows him and the heroine who is fiercely independent and ex-porn star. Together they start teaching a 7 week course on intimacy to try and save his synagogue.
This book is sexy as hell and has absolutely fantastic Jewish representation.
Card 3: ‘The Future’
The final card is: SON (KNIGHT) OF PENTACLES
The son of pentacles is loyal and dedicated but stubborn to a fault. It represents common sense, practicality, and achieving your goals through hard work and perseverance. You are quiet and loyal and may have difficult expressing your emotions.
Recommendation
I was determined to find a way to recommend this book and the perfect card came up!

This M/M sports romance follows 2 hockey stars who are forced into a career long rivalry. But as their paths continue to cross over the years, they discover they may not hate each as much as they thought.
This book follows two very closed-off but fiercely dedicated main characters. They both struggle to acknowledge their feelings not only to each other but even to themselves.
It follows the main characters across 6 years and you watch them slowly grow to care for each other. The burn is slow but oh so good. You’ll be ready to scream by the time the L word is finally dropped.
What card did you pick and did the meaning/recommendation fit for you??
As always, excellent post! I chose the Son of Cups and it’s right! I need to start mood reading again instead of trying to make TBRs to follow each month. Definitely going to add the Intimacy Experiment to my overall TBR though. It sounds like a good read! 😀
