Feel Good Contemporaries

These books are guaranteed to leave you smiling ❤️

I think after the last year and a half we could all use some feel good stories. These books are low angst, low drama, and full of adorable, light-hearted romances.

You tear-ducts are not as risk here – unless you’re a happy crier!

Here are 10 books guaranteed to give you butterflies and happy vibes.

1. People We Meet on Vacation by Emily Henry

I swear this book will eventually stop appearing on every recommendation list I make… eventually 😅

But this book is the epitome of feel good. It has vacation settings, and slow burn friends to lovers romance, and minimal angst. You won’t be able to help but smile and laugh while reading this story.

2. Love at First by Kate Clayborn

This contemporary is about a man who is learning to feel love – both romantically and platonically. There’s a to die for found family aspect and really adorable romance that develops.

Kate Clayborn has such a knack for writing heartwarming stories!

3. Much Ado About You by Samantha Young

This is such a cozy romance! Not only is there an adorable bookstore setting and sweet dog, but who doesn’t dream of getting accepted into a quaint, close-knit English village?

4. Tweet Cute by Emma Lord

This YA contemporary has rival grilled cheese shops, witty Twitter battles, and sweet slow burn romance. With classic Emma Lord one liners, you won’t be able help but smile the whole way through this.

5. Heartstopper by Alice Oseman

Hands down the most heartwarming graphic novel you’ll find. If you want happy tears – this is for you. You’ll be fighting back squeals the entire time (or is that just me….)

6. Let’s Get Textual by Teagan Hunter

One of the funniest new adult romances I’ve ever read! This has sexy banter, hilarious one-liners, and baby goats.

7. You Deserve Each Other by Sarah Hogle

Another laugh out loud funny rom-com! That’s actually equal parts rom and com. This couple plays ridiculous pranks on each other to get a rise out the other. But while doing so they are also falling back in love.

8. Drive Me Wild by Melanie Harlow

This is essentially a Hallmark movie in book form (only sexier). You have a small town, an ex-rich heroine, and swoony mechanic hero. There’s loads of chemistry and lots of small-town shenanigans.

9. The Deal by Elle Kennedy

This is a fun fake dating/hockey romance set at college. There’s a ridiculous deal that obviously turns into steamy romance. But it’s a really adorable story that’s low on the angst but high on the college drama.

10. Well Met by Jen DeLuca

Last but not least is an adorable summer romance set at the Renaissance Faire. It’s enemies to lovers meets grumpy/sunshine set in quaint small town.

What are some of your favorite feel-good stories?! I always want more on my TBR!
