Happy July!!

Readathons
Here are some readathons happening this week/month if you’re looking for one to participate in!
1. Book Junkie Trials: July 1- 31
This was created by Rachael from Rachael Marie Book Junkie. This is a super detailed, month long readathon hosted by a group of book tubers. Check out Rachael’s page for the map, details, and downloads!
New Releases
1. Lock Every Door by Riley Sager
This is a thriller about apartment sitters for the rich and famous who are mysteriously going missing. I chose this as my BOTM pick so my copy is already on it’s way!!
2. The Whisper Network by Chandler Baker
This follows a group of women who are standing up against the promotion of their boss – a man who’s been surrounded by rumors about how he treats women.
3. We Came Here to Forget by Andrea Dunlop
This is a contemporary following an elite skier after a career ending accident. This follows her as she reinvents herself in Buenos Aires. This sounds so heartfelt and emotional.
Reading Update + TBR!
Recently Finished
I barely read at all last week…

1. Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco ⭐️⭐️⭐️
It took me awhile to get into this, but by the halfway point I was hooked! This is actually a series I unhauled awhile back because I didn’t think I had any interest in picking it up anymore. But I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this! I’m hoping to have a full review up later this month!
Currently Reading
1. The Rest of the Story by Sarah Dessen
I started reading this during Summerathon but only got about 25 pages into it. I loved Dessen as a teenager but haven’t picked anything up from her in years. So far this seems like a classic, fluffy YA contemporary.
2. The Wife Between Us by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen
I have this on audio from Hoopla and am very slowly making my way through this. I usually listen to audiobooks at work, but I tend to zone out and miss things. Since this is a thriller, the details are a lot more important that a steamy romance (my normal go-to for audiobooks). So I’m listening a lot slower than normal.
July TBR
I talked about this in my weekly update but I’m feeling super burnt out (in everything, not just reading). So I’ve decided to ditch TBRs this month and just pick books from my shelf or arc list. Here are some of the books I have set aside that I’m currently interested in.
Other than this, I have a few July and early August arcs I’d like to get through as well as some library loans I’ll be getting! I’m looking forward to this little break from my strict schedule the last couple months.
What are your reading plans for the week??
