It’s my favorite readathon of the year!!
I’m sure I’ve talked about this before, but this readathon holds a special place in my heart. This is the first readathon I ever participated in and the reason I actually started a bookstagram account. So really without this readathon, I wouldn’t even know this amazing community exists.
This is what I’m planning to read for this round!
1. Read a Thriller: Turn of the Key by Ruth Ware
I have been SO excited about this book (I even have an arc I never got to…) but I just haven’t had a chance to pick it up. But that is definitely changing this week! I’ve heard amazing things and I’ve enjoyed each Ruth Ware book a little more than the last. So I have really high hopes for this! All I know about the plot is this follows a nanny who works for a family in a smart home and is on trial for the murder of one of the children.
2. His Hideous Heart by Dahlia Adler
This is a short story collection of Edgar Allen Poe retellings and I’m so dang ready. The book also contains the original stories so I’m excited to read the original and the retellings together!
3. The Saturday Night Ghost Club by Craig Davidson
This cover gives me all the 80’s Halloween vibes and I’m so here for it. I honestly know nothing about the plot of this. I just saw the cover and had to buy it. I can’t remember the last time I went into a book with no bias or previous knowledge so I’m excited to dive into this one.
4. The Cabin at the End of the World by Paul Tremblay
This is another book that’s been on many a TBR. But I’m determine to finally get to it this week! This follows a family at a cabin in the woods when they’re confronted by a group of people who tell them the world is ending… and spooky things happen. I’m expecting to be significantly spooked by this one!
5. Mooncakes by Wendy Xu and Suzanne Walker
My 2nd graphic novel ever! I’ve been anxiously waiting for this to release after so many people read arcs of this and absolutely loved it! I knew I wanted to wait for a beautiful finished copy and read it this month.

Looks like a pretty good TBR! Hope you’ll enjoy them!
I’m having a break from readathons this month. It’s a bit too hectic at uni for me to commit to one right now. I am still aiming to read quite a lot of mysteries and thrillers this month though 😀
