February TBR

Happy February! It’s my birthday month ♥

FebruaryTBR

Guys… I turn 30 in 28 days. What is life??

I am SO excited about my TBR this month. Not only is it super pink (it felt appropriate) but I’m really anticipating all of these books. I wanted to pick books I’m extra excited about for my birthday month.

I’m planning to participate in both Contemporaryathon and Tome Topple later this month, so I will have separate TBRs going up later for those.

1. Lock Every Door by Riley Sager

LockEveryDoor

This is the book I picked for my Book of the Month challenge. I loved The Last Time I Lied so much last month that I had to pick up this book right away. This is a thriller about a woman who apartment sits and a super elite but creepy apartment building.

2. The Giver of Stars by Jojo Moyes

GiverOfStars

This is a buddy read I’m doing in the We Be Book’n Book Club as well as my Out of My Comfort Zone pick for February. I never read historical fiction but all the buzz and controversy over this book piqued my interest. I’m excited to see how this one goes!

3. The Sun Down Motel

SunDownMotel

This checks so many challenge boxes! It’s a 5 star prediction, BOTM book, and part of my Winter TBR. I absolutely loved this author’s previous book so I’m crazy excited to start this!

4. The Perilous Undertaking (Veronica Speedwell #2) by Deanna Raybourn

PerilousUndertaking

I started this series an embarrassing long time ago. And despite really enjoying it, I haven’t continued on. Because I’m the worst 😅 And this covers my series challenge for the month! This is a historical mystery series following a woman who skirts societal norms and helps solve crimes.

5. Archangel’s Consort (Guild Hunter #3) by Nalini Singh

ArchangelsConsort

I originally added this to my January TBR because I thought I would finish book 2 sooner than I did. So it got moved to this month! I love this PNR series so I’m hoping to keep reading at least one a month! This is also for my series challenge!

6. Escaping from Houdini (Stalking Jack the Ripper #3) by Kerri Maniscalco

EscapingFromHoudini

My third book for my series challenge! This is also book to cover a February reading challenge in the We Be Book’N Book Club. This is another series I love and can’t wait to continue on.

7. The Grace Year by Kim Liggett

GraceYear

I’m so excited to finally get to this! This is another 5 star prediction and a backlist book. I know very little about this other than it’s a dystopian about a society that forces teenage girls to live in the woods for a year because they are believed to lure men away from their wives.

8. Dark and Deepest Red by Anna-Marie McLemore

DarkAndDeepestRed

This book doesn’t cover any challenges other than catching up on late ARCs 😅 This book sounds so beautiful and magical so I’m really excited to pick it up. Plus this cover is everything!

9. This is How You Lose the Time War by Amal El-Mohtar and Max Gladstone

TimeWar

This is simply a mood pick because it’s been SO hyped lately and I need to see what it’s all about! It’s a sci-fi about 2 men who are fighting a war across time and space.

That’s all for now! I have a bunch of ARCs I need to get to as well as addition readathon books that I’ll be sharing closer to the start dates.

What book(s) are you planning to read this month??

I am actually doing a HORRIBLE job getting back into reading this year. I had the goal of 1 book per week, but so far, I’ve only made it through 3 books besides bedtime stories to my kid (and one was a poetry book, so I don’t know if it counts).

It can be so hard to find time and balance! I definitely go through phases where I’m lucky to read 1 book per week too. Hopefully February goes better ❤️❤️
