Mini Review: Heartstopper Vol 1, 2, & 3!

5stars

Title: Heartstopper
Author: Alice Oseman
Genre: Contemporary
Edition/Pages: Graphic Novel
Goodreads page

Originally I no interest in picking up this series. I’m not big into graphic novels, I honestly find them difficult to follow and tend to get overwhelmed by all the images and text. So one of the things I really loved about this series is it’s simplicity.

And now that I’ve binged the first 3 volumes of this series, I’m really glad I waited. Because I was not at all ready to part with these characters after only one volume! I really loved being able to binge all 3 of these back to back. It gave me the ability to really connect and get to know the characters and made me fall in love with this series.

Overall these graphic novels are just so pure and heartwarming. Charlie and Nick have such a supportive and amazing relationship. And I want to protect them forever. I never read Solitaire, nor do I have any interest in doing so, so I have no idea where their story is heading. But after book 3, I get the impression that things are going to become far more intense for these two characters.

I love the representation, humor, side characters, and sweet romance in this series. I absolutely plan to continue on with this series when more volumes are released!
