Weekly Tarot Book Recommendations

Round 4! ♥

The Concept

I totally got this idea from Ariel Bissett! So if you haven’t seen her video, definitely go check it out.

This is a 3 card spread and you can play along one of two ways:

  1. Chose one of the 3 cards that speaks to you. Don’t over think it, just chose which ever one your gut is telling you to.
  2. View this as virtual weekly or 3 card spread! A 3 card spread can be read many ways but the most common interpretations are:
    • Past, Present, Future
    • Mind, Body, Spirit
    • You, Me, Us
    • Stop, Start, Continue

The Spread

Now is the time to pick a card! I’ll read the cards from Left to Right. So feel free to skip to the card you pick or read them all!

Card 1: The Past

Card1

The first card is Ace of Wands

Meaning

This card means new growth, new journey, and new beginnings! It symbolizes the start of something new – both physically or the mentally. It could also mean you’ve found a creative spark, hidden potential, or talent.

When taken literally it symbolizes fertility and birth.

Recommendation

Okay I definitely had a sudden case of imposter syndrome when this card came up. I could not come up with a recommendation for this.. And immediately I was like I clearly haven’t read enough to recommend books.

I scoured both my physical and Goodreads shelf for a good 15 minutes before I settled on this. Which in hindsight fits this card pretty dang perfectly in my opinion.

Love, Life, and the List by Kasie West

LoveLifeList

This is a really sweet YA contemporary about a teenage girl who isn’t accepted into an art show because her work “lacks heart”. She’s also hopelessly in love with her best friend. She gets another opportunity to show her art, so she enlists the help of her best friend to create a list of life experiences to give her work heart.

This book has a super adorable friends to lover romance about a woman finding her creative spark and hidden potential. I absolutely flew through this book! So if you’re looking for a quick, feel good read, check this one out!

Card 2: The Present

Card2

The second card is 6 of Wands

Meaning

This card is all about rising up against all odds! It’s symbolizes a “new set of wings”, success, victory, and winning battles.

Recommendation

I knew right away I wanted to recommend a fantasy book for this because it just seemed to fit the best. So I decided to go with –

Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson

SorceryOfThrons

This is a standalone fantasy about a woman who works at library tasked with keeping dangerous, sentient tomes safe. But when a dangerous evil is unleashed, she must team up with her enemy to save the libraries.

I decided to go with this one since it’s a standalone and you’re able to get the full story arc in one go. The two main characters team up against all odds to take on a battle that they shouldn’t be able to win. This also has one of my favorite side characters of all time!

Card 3: The Future

Card3

The final card is Son of Pentacles

The Meaning

The Son of Pentacles is loyal, determined, inventive, and trustworthy. But they may also be stubborn and persistent to a fault! They can be difficult to get to know and a small but extremely close circle of friends. This card symbolizes common sense, logic and practicality.

Recommendation

This was hands down the easy rec this week! I just finished this book and this card immediately made me think of the main character in this rom-com!

You Deserve Each Other by Sarah Hogle

YouDeserveEachOther

This one isn’t going to be for everyone 😅 This is enemies to lovers romance about an engaged couple who truly hate each other. These two characters can barely stand to be around each other and it drives them to pull ridiculous stunts to try and get the other person to call off the wedding and take the blame.

But as they fight, and work through some of their resentments, they start to realize they might not hate each other as much as they thought.

This rom-com is laugh out loud funny! And oddly relatable for anyone who has ever lived with a significant other (or had to deal with a difficult MIL!). The male MC fits this card to a T – he’s analytical, stubborn, persistent. Highly recommend this really fun romance!

That’s it for this weeks recommendations!

What card did you chose?? Let me know if you like your recommendation and if you have any others!
