Books on My Radar – Vol. 3

Time for some more future releases I’m excited for!

Check out vol 1 from June and vol 2 from July where are talk about other future releases I have my eye on.

Like I said in the last post, I prepare blog posts pretty far in advance, so while I try and make updates, it’s completely possible that some of this information may be out of date. Definitely check out the linked Goodreads pages for all the latest information if you’re interested in these!

Here are 5 more future releases to watch out for!

1. The Death of Jane Lawrence by Caitlin Starling

Release Date: 2021

This is the follow up to The Luminous Dead and is pitched as:

“a Crimson Peak-inspired gothic horror about a young woman who makes a marriage of convenience and soon finds herself trapped in her new husband’s decrepit and possibly haunted mansion, and spirals down a dangerous path of ritual magic in an effort to save them both”

2. Darling by K. Ancrum

Release Date: June 22, 2021

I’m SO excited for another book from this author! As you might be able to tell from the title, this is a Peter Pan retelling.

“[Set] in modern day Chicago, …Wendy Darling follows Peter and his Lost Boys through the city’s nightlife and underbelly, only to discover that Peter isn’t what he seems…and the Lost Boys are in more trouble than they realize.”

3. The Dead and the Dark by Courtney Gould

Release Date: 2021

This has essentially no info but this tiny pitch blurb is all it took for my to by hyped.

“A debut supernatural thriller about two girls who fall in love when they team up to stop an evil demonic presence from terrorizing their small town.”

4. That Way Madness Lies by Dahlia Adult et al

Release Date: March 16, 2021

This is an anthology of modern YA Shakespeare retellings! And there are stories from so many amazing authors – Brittany Cavallaro, K Ancrum, Anna-Marie McLemore, Melissa Bashardoust, Lily Anderson, etc.

5. Hazel Bly and the Deep Blue Sea by Ashley Herring Blake

Release Date: May 25, 2021

This is an upcoming middle grade release by one of my favorite authors! And another book with very little information yet. But this author is the queen of middle grade so I have no doubt it’ll be amazing.

“The story follows a girl who’s lost one of her moms in an accident which had made her anxious & safety-obsessed… A New England seaside town, a mermaid myth that just might be true, & of course, first crushes.”

Let me know if any of these are on your radar as well!
