Spooky season is over and now it’s time for all things cozy! Here are 10 books to give you all the warm, cozy feelings.
1. A Curious Beginning (Veronica Speedwell #1) by Deanna Raybourn
This historical mystery is the epitome of a cozy read. It’s set in Victorian London and follows 2 scientists as they try and solve the murder of their mutual friend. This series also has the worlds best slow burn romance!
2. The Ten Thousand Doors of January by Alix E. Harrow
This magical, historical fiction is one of my favorite books of all time. It’s full of whimsy, magical doors, and stunning prose.
3. Winterwood by Shea Ernshaw
This magical contemporary is technically set in winter. But for those of us in the north, snow is a definite possibility this time of year 😅 This is another book with stunning prose and cozy, witchy vibes.
4. The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab
Addie LaRue is a beautiful, warm story about a young woman who has been immortalized by demon. The only catch is she is forgotten by everyone she meets. This is one of those books that’s meant to be savored!
5. The Midnight Library by Matt Haig
Matt Haig discusses mental illness in this amazing and unique light fantasy. This follows a woman who finds herself in a library between life and death where she can try all the other lives she may have lived. This book will break your heart and warm it back alive again.
6. The Bear and the Nightingale (Winternight Trilogy #1) by Katherine Arden
Another book that has a lot of winter-y vibes but definitely fits this cozy, end of the year time. This is a high fantasy based on Russian folklore following a young woman who can speak to the old gods. But the old gods are fading and evil is looming.
7. Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover
This is one of those books that I loved beyond words but never reviewed (which sucks!). It’s a heart-wrenching romance that completely stole my heart. If you’re looking to shed a few tears, but still have a HEA, this is your book.
8. Simple Wild (Wild #1) by K.A. Tucker
This enemies to lovers romance is set in Alaska so it definitely provides on the chilly, fall atmosphere. This follows a woman who is connecting with her father for the first time and is discovering more about herself in the Alaskan wilderness.
9. Love Lettering by Kate Clayborn
This contemporary romance is severely underrated! It follows two New Yorkers with possibly career-ending secrets, who develop a friendship under unique circumstances. It’s really sweet, heartwarming, and the perfect book to read by the fire.
10. The Wreckage of Us by Brittainy C. Cherry
Brittainy Cherry’s books always give me warm, fuzzy vibes. Her books are deep and heartfelt and always leave off with such hopeful endings. This book is the perfect thing to warm you up on chilly fall nights.
