It’s the last month of 2020!!
2020 is finally almost over! This year has been ROUGH to say the least.
But I’m hoping to finish out the year with some amazing books. But to make things a little easier on myself, I’m not going to be including any of the books I read this month in my end of the year posts.
I still have a monthly wrap up where I talk about the books I read, and they will appear on my final 2020 wrap up post. But I won’t be taking any December reads into account when I do my fave, least fave, most surprising, etc posts.
I’m also setting a really loose TBR this month because the rest of my life is going to be absolutely crazy. It’s 2 weeks until abstract submission time for our big yearly conference at work so we’re in ultra crunch mode. Plus with the holidays, refinancing our house, home renovation meetings, end of the year content, and general life maintenance, it’s going to be hectic.
But here are some books I’d like to squeeze in before the end of the year if possible!
1. Deadly Dreams (Fortuna Sworn #3) by K.J. Sutton
This is the next book in the Fortuna Sworn series and it releases TODAY! After the way book 2 ended I desperately need to read this one. So I’ll be picking it up as soon as my copy is delivered.
2. In a Holidaze by Christina Lauren
I definitely want to get to a couple of Christmas romances this month. And this new release has been getting some good reviews. I’m love the “groundhogs day” concept so I’m excited to give this one a read!
3. Faking Under the Mistletoe by Ashley Shepherd
This has been sitting on my Goodreads TBR forever but I’ve been seeing it make the rounds this season and it’s been getting amazing reviews! So I’m definitely interested in giving this a read this month.
4. All About Us by Tom Ellen
I impulse purchased this when it released so I’m going to try and get to this holiday romance as well.
5. Mistletoe and Mr. Right (Moose Springs, Alaska #2) by Sarah Morgenthaler
Sourcebook so kindly gave me an e-arc of this book and then I never picked it up because I suck… It’s a holiday rom-com set in Alaska so what could be more perfect? I also have it on audio so that may be my first audiobook for the month!
6. Enjoy the View (Moose Springs, Alaska #3) by Sarah Morgenthaler
I’d also like to pick up the next book right away as well since I also have an e-arc of that one!
7. Opal (Lux #3) by Jennifer L. Armentrout
I’m making my way through the Lux series so I’d like to at least pick up 1 book from that this month. I’m listening to these on audio and they’re the perfect books to passively listen to while doing house stuff.
8. A Universe of Wishes edited by Dhonielle Clayton
I have an Owlcrate box heading my way with an exclusive edition of this book! I also have an e-arc copy but I might way for my physical copy to arrive… we’ll see.
9. The Wife Upstairs by Rachel Hawkins
This is an adult thriller that releases in early January so I’d let to get to my arc of this. It’s a dark, gothic twist on Jane Eyre and it’s been getting fantastic early reviews!
10. You Have a Match by Emma Lord
I loved Emma Lord’s debut novel Tweet Cute so I was so excited to receive and e-arc of her next book from Wednesday Books! This sounds like another adorable, fun YA contemporary. It also releases in early January so I’d like to get to this, this month as well.
What are you planning to read in December??
♥♥♥♥
I hope you have a great reading month!
