Top Ten Tuesday: Holiday Reading Recommendations

Some festive books get you ready for the holiday season!

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018.

I think we could all use a little extra holiday cheer in 2020. These are some of my favorite holiday reads to get you into the spirit of the season!

1. Miracle on 5th Avenue by Sarah Morgan

This is my favorite book on this entire list! I absolutely loved this adorable Christmas romance. This features a grumpy hero, forced proximity, a snowy NYC setting, and oodles of sexual tension. If you read one book off this list – make it this one!

2. An Alaskan Christmas by Jennifer Snow

I’m obsessed with Alaskan settings. And this contemporary romance definitely provided on the Alaskan vibes. This is a sweet romance between a female doctor who if forced to take a vacation and a search and rescue leader.

3. Merry Inkmas by Talia Hibbert

This is a steamy romance novella set in London. It features a tattoo artist and recently fired barista who have a smoldering connection neither can ignore.

4. 10 Blind Dates by Ashley Elston

This is a crazy fun YA contemporary! It reads like a YA hallmark movie full of crazy antics, an absolutely hilarious cast of characters, and a sweet, swoon-worthy friends to lovers romance. After an embarrassing breakup, the main character is set up on a series of blind dates by her overbearing but lovable family. But love might be closer than she thought.

5. One Christmas Eve by Shannon Stacey

Another Hallmark-esque holiday love story! This romance follows a woman who opens her dream bookstore after a messy divorce. Until an uptight attorney moves in next door and gives her grief about the stores sexy window display. But despite their rocky start, the two can’t deny their chemistry. This is romance is so sweet and has the best Christmas-y small town setting!

6. Gifting Me to His Best Friend by Katee Robert

If you’re looking for something festive but hella steamy – this is your book. This follows a married couple who invite their best friend into their bedroom for just one night. But one night becomes two, becomes our entire vacation.

7. The Hunting Party by Lucy Foley

If you want something festive but less romantic, this adult mystery is perfect. It’s set in the remote Scottish Highlands over the Christmas holiday, a group of college friends finds themselves snowed in at their lodge. When someone turns up dead, everyone becomes a suspect.

8. Mistletoe and Mr. Right (Moose Springs, Alaska #2) by Sarah Morgenthaler

This is the follow up to The Tourist Attraction. But you don’t need to read book 1 in order to read this sweet Christmas romance! The heroine works for a development company and recently purchased half of Moose Springs, Alaska. And now everyone in town hates here. But Rick is fascinated by the socialite and thinks it might be time to finally move on after his divorce. There’s a Christmas hating moose, a hedgehog with mittens, and a fun friends to lovers romance!
