Weekly Tarot Card Book Recommendations

Weekly tarot recs are back! ♥

NOTE: I have links to places you can purchase these books – these are NOT affiliate links! While I do receive ALC copies from Libro.fm, I do not receive anything if you purchase from them.

However, if you would like to start an Libro.fm account, you can use my referral link for 1 free audiobook!

The Concept

I originally got this idea from Ariel Bissett! So if you haven’t seen her video, definitely head over to her channel.

This is a 3 card spread and you can play along one of two ways:

  1. Chose one of the 3 cards that speaks to you. Don’t over think it, just chose which ever one your gut is telling you to.
  2. View this as virtual weekly or 3 card spread! A 3 card spread can be read many ways but the most common interpretations are:
    • Past, Present, Future
    • Mind, Body, Spirit
    • You, Me, Us
    • Stop, Start, Continue

UPDATES: One of the things I’m changing this year is I’ll be including some video/story footage over on my Instagram. So if you want to watch that or pick a card over video, the story will be saved to a highlight all week ❤️

The Spread

Now is the time to pick a card! I’ll read the cards from Left to Right. So feel free to skip to the card you pick or read them all!

Card 1: ‘The Past’

The first card is: THE HERMIT

This is a card of solitude and meditation. It represents a period of soul searching and self reflection. It’s time to step back and focus on your inner self – focus on yourself and your own needs!

Recommendation

The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab

This book really embodies the feeling of solitude. Addie LaRue makes a deal with a devil in 1400’s France. In order to be free and live forever, she is cursed to be forgotten by everyone she meets. Following Addie throughout this book is absolutely beautiful and heartbreaking. She must make sacrifices to make her way in an ever changing world. And while she longs for connection, she grows to appreciate all she is able to see and experience throughout 400 years.

This book is one of the most beautifully written, heart-wrenching stories I’ve ever read.

Card 2: ‘The Present’

The second card is: FATHER OF SWORDS

The Father of Swords is fair and analytical. This card is about structure, routine, and self-discipline. Now is the time to rely on your intellect rather than your emotions. Mind over heart.

Recommendation

Slave to Sensation by Nalini Singh

I struggled a little on what to choose for this card. But in the ended I decided to recommend the first book in this absolutely amazing paranormal, urban fantasy, romance series. This series takes place in a world where 3 races exist – humans, shifters, and psychics. The Psy are analytical beings who rely solely on intellect and have worked to eradicate all emotions.

This first book follows one of the Psy who feels emotions but works desperately to hide her “flaw” from the rest of her people. Meanwhile she must work with a pack of Panther shifters. And stop herself from falling in love with their Alpha. This series is steamy, addictive, and will keep you on the edge of your seat the whole way through!

Card 3: ‘The Future’

The final card is: THE SUN

This major arcana is bringing you positivity energy. It is a sign of positivity, optimism, freedom, and fun. You bring light and joy to everything around you. Spend time outdoors and bask in the light and warmth. Good things are coming your way!

Recommendation

Written in the Stars by Alexandria Bellefleur

This book was marketed as a holiday romance but this book doesn’t actually take place during the holidays until very end.

This is a sapphic romance retelling of Pride and Prejudice. If you’re not into classic retellings, don’t let that deter you, the inspiration is very light!

This is a enemies to lover, fake dating romance between an uptight actuary and a wild, fun, and adventurous astrologist. Their romance is so sweet and steamy and their chemistry is off the charts. If you’re looking for a book that will bring loads of light and happiness to your reading – this is definitely a perfect pick.

What card did you pick and did the meaning/recommendation fit for you??
