The Concept

I originally got this idea from Ariel Bissett! So if you haven’t seen her video, definitely head over to her channel.

This is a 3 card spread and you can play along one of two ways:

1. Chose one of the 3 cards that speaks to you. Don’t over think it, just chose which ever one your gut is telling you to.
2. View this as virtual weekly or 3 card spread! A 3 card spread can be read many ways but the most common interpretations are:
   • Past, Present, Future
   • Mind, Body, Spirit
   • You, Me, Us
   • Stop, Start, Continue

Card 1: ‘The Past’

The first card is: 4 OF PENTACLES

This card represents possession and control. While it’s a sign of material gain and stability, underneath lays a warning: don not become possessive or controlling. Wealth is a concept, not an object. Establish boundaries, remain open, and don’t hold too tightly to material things.

Recommendation

I just recently finished this book and it embodies this card SO perfectly!

The Rogue of Fifth Avenue (Uptown Girls #1) by Joanna Shupe

This historical romance takes place in 1890’s New York City. It follows an uptown debutante who is skirts societal norms and expectations to try and help the less fortunate. She’s promised in marriage to a high society man and long time family friend her entire life. The only problem – she can’t stop thinking about her family’s obnoxious but devastatingly handsome lawyer, Frank Tripp.

Frank has spent his entire adult life chasing money and hiding his lower class upbringing. But chasing after his client’s reckless yet stunningly beautiful daughter, leaving him questioning if he’s built his life around the right things.

This book really explores what it meant to be successful and wealthy. In a time period where social classes were everything.

Card 2: ‘The Present’

The second card is: THE HANGED MAN

The Hanged Man is a master or non-attachment and letting go. Sacrifice or a difficult decision may lay ahead or you may be feeling trapped by your current situation. Resist the urge to fight it. Step back, release control, and use this time to learn. The answers will become clear in time.

Into the Heartless Wood by Joanna Ruth Meyer

This weird, but stunningly beautiful fantasy won’t be for everyone. The writing style is very unique and the story is quite character, atmosphere driven. But if you love character exploration, unique and whimsical prose, and a dark forest setting – please check this out!

This follows a tree siren with not soul that meets a human boy who lives on the edge of woods. She was created a monster, but becomes enraptured by boy and starts to question who she wants to be.

This book explores love, family, and what it means to be human. And lots of sacrifices are made in hopes of a better a future.

Card 3: ‘The Future’

The final card is: THE LOVERS

This card is about union, desire, and joy! Beautiful and strong relationships lay ahead. Spend time nurturing the relationships you are in. Don’t automatically take the easy road – even though things may be hard, wonderful things are coming!

For this I kew I wanted to recommend an amazing romance!

Theirs For the Night (The Thalanian Dynasty #1) by Katee Robert

This book/series not only has an absolutely amazing romance, but it requires the main characters to take some not so easy paths in pursuit of that romance.

This is a polyamorous relationship between a prince, his body guard, and woman from NYC. There are so many external obstacles that lay in these character way, but they fight for each other through it all.

This is one of the most balanced poly relationships I’ve ever read and Katee Robert does an amazing job making each character feel equal and foundational to the relationship. If you want an addictive and steamy romance – check out this book/ series!
