Hello sweet friends, it’s been a MINUTE!
I know it’s been awhile since I’ve posted anything other than Blog Tours/Reviews so I thought we could catch up, talk about what I’ve been reading, what I’ve been loving, and share something BIG I’ve been working on!
So –
Let’s Catch Up!
I’ve been daily blogging for over 2 fulls years (yes – daily) and I was feeling super burnt out. I wasn’t having fun making content anymore and was really just going through the motions.
I also wasn’t engaging in any content here.
So I started to question if this was really where I wanted to spend my energy and the answer was no.
I paused my content and moved my focus to my Instagram because that is where I spend the vast majority of my time on social media. And I’m so happy I made that move. I’ve had that account for just as long as this blog but I just love the short form, image based platform.
But after a couple of months, I’ve started to miss also having a place to go in depth on rants, reviews, discussions, etc.
So – I’m kinda back 😏 Stay tuned.
Summer Wrap Up
But first let’s look back on my summer TBR and see how I did!
So I while I only read a total of 6/10, As Good As Dead by Holly Jackson isn’t actually out yet… Not sure what I was thinking when I put that on the list 😅
This is the second season in a row where I accidentally put a book on my TBR that wasn’t even released during that season. I’m clearly very good at this!
Here are my rating for each book and a link if I have a review up!
The Box in the Woods (Truly Devious #4) by Maureen Johnson ⭐⭐⭐⭐.5
The Jasmine Throne (The Burning Kingdoms #1) by Tasha Suri ⭐⭐⭐⭐
It Happened One Summer (Bellinger Sisters #1) by Tessa Bailey ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
These Hollow Vows (These Hollow Vows #1) by Lexi Ryan ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Archangel’s War (Guild Hunter #12) by Nalini Singh ⭐⭐⭐
It Ends in Fire by Andrew Shvarts ⭐⭐⭐.5
Both As Good As Dead and A Lady of Rooksgrave Manor have been moved to my Fall TBR! (that post is coming super soon!)
My Favorite Books of Summer!
So normally I do a top 5 favorites for each season but I had a couple of seriously amazing reading months so I could only narrow this down to 6.
The Big Announcement!!
Okay so here’s my announcement!!
I’m starting a Booktube channel!
🎉🎉🎉🎉
So what does that mean for this page? Well I will be returning to posting content here but it’s going to look a little different. Rather than write out all my thoughts and opinions on page, I’ll just be sharing the lists (like I’ve done here).
And if you’re curious about my in depth thoughts – I’ll be including my videos for you to check out.
I really appreciate all of you who have stuck around while I took a break. I’m sorry I’ve been so absent but I’m excited and motivated to come back.
I don’t have a set schedule yet. I yet know how balancing this with my full time job will go so I don’t want to set unrealistic expectations for myself. For now I’m just going to film and post as I want and go from there.
And with that –
Here’s my first video! 🥺🖤
Yay welcome back! I also started a booktube channel this year and, like you, I have that, my blog, and a bookstagram. It is a lot, but it is also so much fun. Going to go watch your video right now!
Also, how amazing was It Happened One Summer! I cannot wait for her sister’s story!
