Happy Monday! Time to kick off the week with some new recommendations ♥
NOTE: I have links to places you can purchase these books – these are NOT affiliate links! While I do receive ALC copies from Libro.fm, I do not receive anything if you purchase from them.
However, if you would like to start an Libro.fm account, you can use my referral link for 1 free audiobook!
The Concept
I originally got this idea from Ariel Bissett! So if you haven’t seen her video, definitely head over to her channel.
This is a 3 card spread and you can play along one of two ways:
- Chose one of the 3 cards that speaks to you. Don’t over think it, just chose which ever one your gut is telling you to.
- View this as virtual weekly or 3 card spread! A 3 card spread can be read many ways but the most common interpretations are:
- Past, Present, Future
- Mind, Body, Spirit
- You, Me, Us
- Stop, Start, Continue
UPDATES: One of the things I’m changing this year is I’ll be including some video/story footage over on my Instagram. So if you want to watch that or pick a card over video, the story will be saved to a highlight all week ❤️
The Spread
Now is the time to pick a card! I’ll read the cards from Left to Right. So feel free to skip to the card you pick or read them all!

Card 1: ‘The Past’
The first card is: THE MAGICIAN
A card of boundless energy and action. You have all the skills you need to be successful, don’t be afraid to begin! You have the power to manifest what you want – now is the time to use it.

Down Comes the Night by Allison Saft

I chose this Gothic YA fantasy because it is all about a young woman taking charge of her situation and power.
This follows a magical healer who has spent her life trying to win the favor of others – her captain and the woman she loves, and her never-impressed aunt and queen.
But when the main character runs away to a manor in a foreign kingdom, she puts herself on a path to possibly save her people from war.
This book is really atmospheric, full of adventure and romance, and has a wonderful message about family and acceptance.
Card 2: ‘The Present’
The second card is: TEMPERANCE
This card is a card of healing and renewal. It signifies balance and harmony in your life. If you’ve been feeling off balance, now is the time for self correction. You are in tune with yourself – it is the perfect time to set goals and reflect on your aspirations.

Love at First by Kate Clayborn

This adult romance is a personal all-time favorite. Kate Clayborn is an outstanding writer who builds characters you can’t help but fall in love with.
This story follows two main characters who are extremely stubborn and out of balance. One is controlling and serious and steady while the other clings to the past.
Throughout they fall for each other and together they loosen their grip on the traumas holding them back.
This story is not only a beautiful love story, but it also has the most wonderful found family!
Card 3: ‘The Future’
The final card is: THE FOOL
The Fool is a sign of new beginnings. It’s the side of you that’s spontaneous and inexperienced. You are on the verge of something new and exciting! Don’t be afraid to fail, taking this leap will allow you to grow through this new experience.

Much Ado About You by Samantha Young

This book is the epitome of self-discovery!
After her life takes a disastrous turn, the main character spontaneously travels to a small English village where she plans to reflect on what she wants out of life. But what she didn’t plan on was falling for town – and the handsome farmer and his dog.
This story has a quaint English setting, an adorable dog, and a Shakespeare themed bookstore! The audiobook is also fantastically narrated if you’re looking for your next listen.
What card did you pick and did the meaning/recommendation fit for you??
Without looking I chose card number 2 and of course it’s temperance. Temperance always follows me! For a while anytime I asked my deck about myself it’d only give me temperance. I’ve definitely added the novel to my TBR. I can’t not add it after a sign like that! lol
