Winter is finally coming to an end!
I don’t know about you, but I’m hella over winter… We got so much snow this year and I’m ready for sun and warmer days.
But on a good note – I killed it with my TBR this past season! Not only did I read nearly every book, but there were some new all time favorites.
Here is my winter TBR post if you want to check out what I originally said about these books.
❌ 1. A Universe of Wishes by Dhonielle Clayton
We’re getting the one fail out of the way first. I have no idea what I never picked this up… I still really want to read this and I have this stunning Owlcrate edition. But for some reason I never gravitate to short story collections. Definitely need to change that.
✅ 2. The Wife Upstairs by Rachel Hawkins
I had some mixed feelings about this but overall I really enjoyed it. It was such an addictive read but I found the ending a little underwhelming.
✅ 3. The Ruthless Lady’s Guide to Wizardry by C.M. Waggoner
DNF
Okay technically I didn’t finish this but I’m counting it as a success because I tried. But I really (really) disliked the 15% or so that I read of this. Which is a big bummer…
✅ 4. Into the Heartless Wood by Joanna Ruth Meyer
This was the first book I picked up off my 5 Star Predictions list and it was big success! I flipping loved this book. My full review is linked if you want to read a few paragraphs of me gushing endlessly about this eerie love story.
✅ 5. Enjoy the View (Moose Springs, Alaska #3) by Sarah Morgenthaler
This is the third book in this Alaskan based rom-com series and all of them have been okay. I don’t know if I’ll read any more in this series. They’re fun reads but it’s not something that leaves an impact.
✅ 6. The Witch’s Heart by Genevieve Gornichec
If you love the Winternight Trilogy by Katherine Arden, this is a must read! This is a historical, Norse myth, Loki romance/drama. And it was everything I wanted. It’s really character driven and dramatic and beautifully written.
✅ 7. A Court of Silver Flames (ACOTAR #4) by Sarah J. Maas
I gave a SJM book 5 stars? Shocker 😅 But seriously I was nervous about this one! I hated Nesta with a burning fiery passion. But somehow this redemption arc worked. The fucking power.
✅ 8. Love at First by Kate Clayborn
ANOTHER 5 star read! This romance solidified Kate Clayborn as a favorite author. This was so sweet and swoony. Definitely pick this up if you’re looking for a great found family!
✅ 9. Deadly Dreams (Fortuna Sworn #3) by K.J. Sutton
My favorite of this series so far! Kelsey just keeps raising the stakes with every book and it’s killing me. Book 4 cannot be in my hands soon enough!
✅ 10. Archangel’s Viper (Guild Hunter #10) by Nalini Singh
I think I technically read this one before the original list even published… but oh well. I had high hopes for this one but it was just okay (especially coming off of Enigma which is my favorite). This series is still hella addictive though.
Did you set a winter TBR? How did you do? Yesterday I shared my Spring TBR if you want to see some of what I’m planning to read this coming season. Happy spring! 🌸
Ooh you did really well! I only read 3 haha!
